Just kidding. Be a shame if you did sell it

Haha - agreed!
"Hi. I'm Storm, new to the forum, and I have this awesome car...I think. I'll sell it. Thoughts?"
I second the motion for worst thread ever. ;D
Too bad you are thinking of selling the car, but it really sounds like the Q7 is a good fit for you.
When I punch your car stats into KBB, it looks like your car is going to be in the mid-thirties for a private sale. I think the issue you are going to have is finding someone to buy a $35k car privately. I think (maybe erroneously) that most people buying cars over about $20k usually buy from a dealer. Though, I am sure there are always exceptions.
Don’t include any of the extra parts in the sale. Just list them separately and get whatever you can for them. The S6 v10 market is pretty small, so you may end up having to take a 50% hit on your original costs on the S6 specific parts. The S5 wheels and other stuff will sell very quickly, if priced right. You are best off listing the parts ASAP once you make the decision to sell the S6, because performance parts are kind of seasonal, and spring/summer are their seasons.
In Canada, when you do a trade-in on a dealership car, you get that amount directly deducted from the new car purchase price, so you also save on the taxes.
E.g. New car is $60k minus $30k trade in. You only pay taxes on the new car on $30k. In Ontario that will save you another $4k. I am not sure if they do this in the US, or not. If so, you probably want to check what the dealer will offer you for the car.
Still hoping you change your mind and keep the S6, but if not, good luck with sale !!!
I had the S5 wheels put back on today, and I really like them with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The earlier photo showed them mounted on the Toyo Proxes that came with the car, and they just didn’t work - in appearance or handling. To me, the S5 wheels don’t look too small with the PSS.
Here are some more pics after I cleaned it up a bit.
Totally agree
For the record…still enjoying the S6! I think I’m going to give it some love (ala leather lotion, detail & paint correction) over the next little while and see where things end up. The V10 is such a sweet sound!
The S6 is one of those very special cars that if you can it’s best to keep it.
Good point, Justin. I always respected your posts when I was on the B6 S4 forum. Do you still get over to the Detroit area? What are you driving these days?
Good to hear!
I’m in the Detroit area more the. Not. I have my nitrous fed by S4 and my b6 3.0 A4. Are you local that looks like a house you would see in the Almont area out here.
