Things to do in Toronto? Canadians speak up!

I’m going to Canada next week with my family and my girlfriend. We’re going to be in Niagara for a couple days, then Toronto for a couple days. Obviously Niagara has the falls, but what is there to do in Toronto besides that underground city thing? I was there a long time ago and I remember a zoo that also had amusement rides, and you could pet and feed the deer; very vague memory there lol…pretty sure it was Toronto though.

Maybe I can meet some AR guys somewhere?

CN tower is neat
come see me
that was likely toronto zoo. Good zoo.
underground city is not that big of thing…just an underground walkway / shopping mall connecting the business core buildings to each other
get a pizza (margherita) at Pizzeria Libretto
Friday the museum is free (Royal Ontario Museum) after like 6 pm till 8pm
hang out in Yorkville and watch cars from a patio at lunch (fancy area)

I’ll think of more

Drop by Centre Island (There used to be animals and rides there too), come back at dusk and enjoy the skyline

Is the Ex open yet?

Eaton Centre is nice for some shopping. Try not to get shot by drug dealers.

Scarborough Bluffs? Explore the not so crowded areas near the cliffs. Try not to get shot by highschool wannabe gangsters. Try not to fall off a cliff and die. Or a combination of the above.

Woodbine Beach and Ashbridges bay is nice for a stroll/picnic/bbq. Good view of the skyline depending on where you are.

High park? Nice place to take a stroll and some photos.

St Lawrence Market

If you’re here on the weekend see if there’s one of those pedestrian only market things happening downtown. Try not to get beaten up, shot or stabbed by sports fans. (Which reminds me… Saki did you ever attend one of those euro cup parties wearing a blue JHM shirt? Saw someone on CP24 during one of the “live” reports that looked kind of like you lol)

Casa Loma if you’re into that sort of stuff

Hippo Bus! Heard it was getting canned but maybe you can grab a ride before it does. It’s basically a amphibious tour bus.

Maybe we can do a mid month Home Depot meet next Thursday?

Awesome suggestions. Forgot about the CN Tower, definitely going to do that. I will be in Toronto from probably Wednesday to the end of Thursday so none of those weekend things will benefit me much. I’m sure we will do the Toronto zoo though, since it was awesome last time I was there, and here in the states, everyone is too afraid of getting sued, thus you can only view animals from a mile away

lol Mistro all of you suggestions could possibly get me stabbed? Is that what happens in a country with free healthcare? Stabbing just for the hell of it!

good suggestions

re the shootings, joe is from chicago. Our 60 murders per year are a good month for him.

no, I wasn’t at any euro parties. Not here anway…the ones I went to were in France, Switzerland, Italy and Scotland.

shake hands with these guys

I can’t comment much on Toronto since I haven’t been there since I was a kid. But, I’ve got a couple of other suggestions for you.

Niagra - Besides the falls, there’s some other fun stuff in that city if you spend the day there. There’s a casino that’s decent and some pretty good haunted houses if you’re into that type of thing. It’s a fun area to walk around. Very touristy.

A little travel note - if you’re a smoker, its very easy to find pot in Niagra. I bought some off of a parking lot attendant and smoked a j before riding the falls boat trip. Good times!

If you’re coming from Chicago, I assume you’re driving through MI. If so, and you feel like stopping before you make it to Niagra, there’s a little town called Grand Bend which is about an hour into Canada if you cross at Port Huron/Sarnia. I used to go camping there all the time as a kid and it’s really a beautiful area. Grand Bend has a great beach since it’s on Lake Huron and the campground (The Pinery) has some really nice nature programs/activities. I pretty cool to hike through the sand dunes and forest at the same time.

These might not be your cup of tea, but figured I’d toss them out there.

this made me laugh, fucking hard, at a lunch business meeting. laugh out loud ‘what the fuck is he reading’ style laughter.

BWT - A little travel note - if you’re a smoker, its very easy to find pot in Niagra. I bought some off of a parking lot attendant and smoked a j before riding the falls boat trip. Good times!

Grand Bend is a nice spot but I suspect a little off the track for a relatively short visit. Niagara on the Lake is a great little town for chilling and a nice day out.

Just got to Toronto. Staying at the Courtyard Marriott on yonge street. Going to the underground mall thing now to eat and I guess see some stores or whatever. Very nice, clean and modern city. Audi’s are everywhere. Have seen 5 b8 s4’s, several dolphin gray b6 a4/s4’s. Lots of A7’s too. Text me at 6309473875

Call me if you need anything

Lol fuck you I was just coming here to delete it in my post. Now you went and quoted it
