What a sound…
Now that sounds better. The videos Tony posted sounds too much like a muscle car. Your recent videos sound nice and refined, more like the GMG sound, which I think is perfect.
I believe this setup is full 2.75" with cats vs Tony’s 2.75" Catback and stock gutted cats. Agreed Saki’s sounds better and IMO perfect…
Saki is the tune on?
Hit the strip. Get you can crack 12.3 on pump with the stock clutch and no weight reduction.
Saki, res or non-res?
Nice fucker…
…and it sounds great, like JHM great
12.3?? I think Saki can do better than that if he has a full exhaust and tune
Don’t think he’s tuned yet. Might still be a while yet until his warranty runs out.
Flyby sounds good. Looking forward to some more sound clips!
… If the track would just open here. Always “too cold” for them for the last few weeks. Fucking annoying
Yeah? I’m saying with stock clutch, no lightweight mods, no intake spacers, no crank pulley etc… 12.3 with just an exhaust and tune on pump would be crazy impressive IMO. And I know saki can drive that car. That would really impress me. Everytime I listen to that video I want an RS4…
Mistro did 12.4 without a tune so 12.3 with a tune and exhaust should be doable I guess.

Acceleration in car + turkeys (weird one)

Yes it’s the resonators. They clean it up quite a bit. I also have cats in the downpipes (hi flow cats in the main cat position) which again help a little.
Volume wise it is not too crazy. Probably about 30-40% louder than stock. Definitely quieter than my b7 s4 which was 2.5“ catless , resonated and even used the same mufflers. You can hear that setup here. It was wake the dead loud.

The exhaust definitely exhibits drone on low res (around 1000-1800) when you’re on the throttle in the wrong gear, and when the car is cold it is pretty bassy in the cabin. Once it warms ups even when sitting idling at a light you can barely tell from inside that you have exhaust on. Outside is a little louder. When you get on it, different story. Clearly something up.
The car also gets a LOT more attention now. I have had three people roll down windows asking about it in the first day. That usually happened at most once every two weeks. I was also spotted on the audizine Canada spotted thread for the first time since getting the car. So it definitely brings the car a bit more presence.
I currently have a check engine light for a bad b1s1 o2 sensor connection. Maybe it got broken during the install. That’s primary control so I won’t to the strip till it’s fixed. As mistro said they aren’t opening lately anyway. Maybe we should rent st Thomas next Sunday?
Logs showed the car is quicker but it also shows up top it is holding itself back quite a bit. This will be the stock tune. In perfect cool dense air, it was pulling up to 9 degrees of timing. Car was carbon cleaned in June and has only like 4000 miles since then. So it’s faster, but not sure how much faster without a tune to let it go.
All around I really like the clean sound. It’s excellent.

would be tough. The 2 guys who went 12.2 did it with the following things I don’t have
JHM VR tune (Very Race)
LW flywheel, LW Crank Pulley, 4 x LW rotors, 4x LW wheels - shaving between 40-50 lbs rotating mass
JHM stage 4 clutch
JHM shifter
Suspension (if that helps…seems to)
No cats
I think I would struggle to get below 12.50. The stock tune is great, but holds the car back when you start making too much torque. My torque logs look funny…the car starts killing timing advance once you start hitting 370-380nm of measured torque.
