ehhh I know lots of domestic guys with manuals who still launch hard (ie dont slip) once they get slicks. You wanna shock the tire to get it loose from the pavement. Depends on how brave you are and tire selection. Granted there are a lot more domestic guys who run Autos than VW/Audi guys so they get the nice easy fast stall converter launches

91…you HAVE to beat the APR RS4 and S5 times. I believe 11.83 for the RS4. You may have already beat the S5 time.

That would be great to see. I think given the temps and watching the video that this should be possible

Pretty damn close. I couldn’t be arsed to watch the vids right now but I think those were full interior but I’m sure the drivers has done dozens of runs and certainly were in full balls out mode. If I understand the thread correctly, 91gl was very much in shakedown mode.

TL;DR this is one epic platform.

From the APR thread I believe both the S5 and RS4 had seats removed and better then pump gas. I know they were not on pump gas and I know for 100% sure that the Rs4 had the seats out. The S5 I remember talking to the guy who owned the car and I believe they had to remove the seats as well. To get the 11 sec pass.

So best I know the only `11 sec full interior is the JHM baby carrier

really ? I didn’t think APR would take the seats out again after getting roasted for it the first time.

I also thought they were on 93 both passes. I haven’t heard anything to the contrary…

I agree Saki - I also believe they ran with all cats in tact. (OEM exhaust - correct?)

yeah, OEM exhaust (anyway, aftermarket exhausts that were available on the RS4 didn’t do much flow wise since they were all pretty much stock diameter) and pretty much stock other than a strong clutch to allow 6000 rpm launches lol. Keith may have left some on the table launching it so maniacally.

Yup I know the S5 was less weight (seats) per the owner of the S5

I know the RS4 had the seats removed per Keith and his multiple posts about there times.

yeah, they showed the RS4. they took everything from the B pillars back out of the car. no seats, no trunk floor, no nothing. Surprised they left the battery in :wink:

i just noticed 91 hadn’t updated here so I read the AZ thread…and saw that beauty by Anthony. Might be a bit egocentric to think he’s referring to me…but I think he is. I don’t get the ‘fall from grace’. I have never been accused of having any grace lol
