What does the +/- Karma mean by our avatars? I thought maybe it related to out post count, but some people have less karma than me but more posts. Any idears?
Its like a reputation score. Lots of karma shows the members your a good guy. smite shows maybe this member isn’t one that should be listened to.
I’ve seen this on other forums and it can get out of hand if people abuse it. All of a sudden you have a bunch of smite points cuz somebody got their panties in a bunch over something you posted. Then you have the suck ups that give you lots of applauds cuz they’re buddy buddies with you. The karma thing soon got cancelled.

There will be abuse with just about any system like this. I’m working on that so it won’t be the case. I believe in more cases then not its a helpful tool. If we find its not we can look to better it. If we find its more harm then good it can be removed
only problem is that smite, while an awesome word, looks a lot like smile…so someone might push it by accident
I’d like to increase the size of just about everything on the site personally. Maybe it’s my eyes…but the quoted text gets real small. I find myself bolding the quotes I put and increasing text size so people can read them. It’s also probably the colour choice I have which is the light grey with blue accents…but the quotes are a dark purple with black letters.
Tough to get all these details down I know, so I don’t want to bitch about it.
Yeah this site needs a little work ascetically. Am I the only one who thinks the goodwood green background is an eyesore? It looks bad enough on an Audi. I like the small avatars
dude there are a bunch of forum colour schemes. You can change them in your profile. For example, here’s mine

Personally I like the green. Makes a nice change.
One one of the other forums I’ve been on instead of just increasing the score you apply a comment which gets posted on your user/profile page. That way you can see who gave you khama and what for. The other thing that happens is that you can only give it once until you give it to someone else first. Stops multiple hits to the one person.

Seems like the green is a love hate thing. Some love it others don’t love it as much while others hate to love it. I made a new FYI post on how to change the color for those that wish to do so.

The system is useful. It played a key roll in ridding the net of a few trolls. that negitive ratteing will really clue some members in on whats going on. helps show who is able to play along and those that are looking to just beat there own drum
