18z Cayenne bbk question

Hey guys

I’m looking to buy this bbk set up… My main concern is how wide they are?

Reason being for my aftermarket wheels, i don’t have any
more wiggle room to space them out any further…

What is your wheel’s offset?

My wheels have an offset of 38… But i have 15mm spacers up front to clear stock brakes, so i think that makes it an et of 23?

Fenders are rolled and pulled to accommodate…

sounds very weird. Stock Avuis B6 wheels can clear the cayenne calipers with like a 3 mm spacer

You must have some very strange super concave wheels to not clear your stock brakes with ET38 and need 15s.

The wheels are 19x9.5’s and has almost a 4 inch lip… The outer spokes concave inward a little bit making it hard to clear the breaks… If it was a flat wheel it wouldnt be an issue…

I had the same wheels on my 05 s4 and the weird thing is that i only needed 10mm to clear the breaks… Not sure why i needed 15mm this time for my 04…

that’ll do it then.

Do you have a pic of the wheels or at least the brand and model? I’d like to look them up.
Also, it’s brakes, not breaks hehe :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha sorry no coffee yet this morning…

The wheels are rpm - 505’s 19x9.5 5x112 et 38

So something like this I guess. It shouldn’t matter how shallow or deep the lip is. The offset is an absolute number from where the wheel’s centre is, not a percentage.
And the wheels are not concave. They should clear easily. Weird… You sure about the offset?

Well if the lip is really that big, think about it…it makes the wheel face the equivalent of like a 6" wheel. No wonder it needs insane spacers.

That’s the exact wheel… But the outer spokes curve inward towards the brakes… It will not clear the brakes with out spacers, the spoke actually touch the calipers…

I’m positive about the offset they are et38 and with the spacer it makes the offset et23…

Yes, the thick lip will reduce spoke clearance which is the actual issue. Offset is offset. Spoke clearance is what really matters.

Maddog3xx8, if you’re out of room fender lip wise (meaning you can’t go to a bigger spacer), you may need to reconsider those wheels if you want to clear a bigger caliper.

I can always make more room in the fender with more roll and pull… I can also run a little more stretch on the tire…

I understand its bigger calipers but I’m trying to to find out if its longer, wider and taller or if its just one of those or combination?.. Also looking to see exactly how much of either to see how much i need to play with it…

Any one have specs on them or know where i can get the specs?

They’re definitely longer, wider (that’s where the spoke clearance comes in) and slightly taller (hence 18" wheel minimum). Your 19" wheels should clear everything except the spoke clearance.

Agreed, sorry to say but with those wheels there is no chance of running any BBK, all of which will have less clearance than your OEM S4 calipers. With aftermarket BBK options you can get templates to print out and hold up to the hub surface of the wheel, but being an OEM option for a different vehicle I’m not sure what you could find. Without taking the time to look, is this what JHM offers? If so they could potentially offer a template to try out.

But really, with those wheels there is no chance. You’re already ET38 on a 9.5 wheel so not much room to push them out as it is. Let alone with such a huge lip.
