working on my 2000 a6 4.2 with manual transmission conversion
all work has been done car runs just the ecu needs to be worked
little did i know this years ecu is a me 7.1 and I cannot use my s6 euro file which is for me 7.1.1 to fix the driving issues with ecu like i did on my 2002 s6 avant
i keep reading that some people have used JHM ecu mod and would like to know if anyone can help out

biggest concern i have is so the monitors set? for smog check purposes
i was told the engine light will not illuminate but the ecu will get error codes if any will come present
and will the clutch signal be recognized since its already wired to the ecu?
will the cruise control work with your tune?

Unfortunately the 2000 A6 4.2L with the ART engine code is the worst to work with, ECU 4D0 907 558 S.
The 2000 A6 is the only one that will not ever have a CEL once tuned for a MT. It will get codes if there are issues and all readiness were ran, however there is no solution for this at this time but we are always working on this stuff. Currently no ETA on the CEL Solution.
The clutch signal should be recognized once it is recoded through VCDS after the tuning. “Automatic value 1026 for 2001 and up (0 on a 2000) For Manual conversion change to 1024”
I will have to get back to you on the cruise control.
