2002 3.0 6MT Build

that’s originally from the b6 s4 actually, that silver interior. On the 8e anyway.

I like the light leather looks. However I really like a nice dark interior.

When I switched from aluminium trim to carbon fibre trim on my old b7 s4, I loved it

Yea they did come from a B6 S4. And also I noticed on the car it came from it had black everything else except the Recaro’s with platinum inserts in the doors and on top of the arm rest I thought it looked really good, I would love to do that but its probably too big of a PITA to remove the dash and everything else, even the carpet and roof liner. For now I just need to get these seats and coil overs on, After that I am going back in the body shop for a Cupra lip and to refinish the front USP valence from scraping being too low. Hopefully the Cupra lip will give it a tiny bit of protection. Here is a shot from a fresh clay bar and wax, with Adams Detail Kit…

Half my seats came in tonight, I finally see what the big deal is all about, these should of been my first mod…now I just have to wait 2 weeks for the other half of the seats…

That’s a brave interior color choice. White is very challenging to keep in good shape.

It’s not white, I have platinum interior. I wish I had that white interior but I think that only comes in the RS4.

B7 RS4 interior is called “silver.” It is gorgeous. Really brightens up the car, and makes it feel bigger than the small size that it really is.

034 is offering Cupra lips right now for a few dollars off so I figured I would grab one since I’m refinishing my USP skirt since I’ve scraped it a couple times. Hopefully this will protect it a little so I can just replace the lip if it gets scraped up instead of paying to refinish a bumper and add a clear bra which isn’t as cheap as the lips are which are running 98$ free shipping…

Cupra lips are pretty cool! I have one on my B7

Rs4 seats. That’s interesting. Won’t there be electrical compatibility issues?

These are S4 seats. And this is a picture of the harness to the floor. The only issue I’m worried about is that I"m adding front heated seats to my car because winters here can be bad and the seats I bought just happened to have front heated seats which I wanted anyways. I have everything else full power, lumbar, seat memory. So the harness on the seats I can see will just plug into the floor, now is there already going to be prewired after the plug for the harness to wherever it leads to the back of the HVAC or elsewhere?, because I have a new HVAC unit with the heater controls so I can only assume the harness under the seats runs up to the climate control unit. I’m just not sure if its pre-wired already. I know that cars that don’t have power seats are not wired for any of it but I’m wondering if mine maybe is because I already have powered seats, i guess i’ll find out when I install them unless somewhere here knows. The green plug is for heated seats, I think the black is for power and I’m not sure what else is what.

Just picked up the rest of my Recaros. Now being OCD as I always am I’m going to call around and find a good upholstery shop to restore these babies, and then replace every plastic piece on them until I have a brand new looking set. My only issue I’m afraid to run into now which would be a good thing in the end. Is that if these seats don’t match my interior to my liking then I’m going to have to swap EVERYTHING out so that I have a complete black interior with RS4 platinum door car inserts to mimic the RS4 look at least i think its RS4, maybe the S4 too…

Update:

I dropped her off at the body shop last week. I will be having a complete USP rear kit installed using Euro Rebar. I will also be installing a new USP front because mine got scraped on some curbs so I can have my cupra lip installed flush on a fresh new valence. If I can swing it which i doubt I can for a couple weeks I will drop my Recaro’s off to be restored. I might wait to install them if I can afford to get black interior so I can put black carpet down while the seats are out which I would really like to do so I can add a flat bottom MFSW as well as the blue tooth system. But that makes the swap quite a bit more expensive as I priced the steering wheel with air bag on ebay for 850$ plus shipping. I think it would look beautiful with the Recaro’s especially if i can find some platinum door inserts, we’ll see tho. I’m really trying to find a point I can stop and be happy with the car as is and just drive it. Maybe I’ll find that point once I get it more comfortable with the seats and coilovers…
