So Ive got a 2002 A4 that I picked up a new green AudiUP snub mount. Ive read installs on the AZ forum but recently was told that the 3.0 requires the front bumper to be removed. Is that true?
Please help because I want to get this installed soon 
Well that is kinda true you really need to get the car into the service position. You really kinda need to pull the bymper and then pull back the core support. From there you can then take out the bolts that hold the cage.
If your a 6speed the install and removal of the bumper isn’t really hard and in the end iot makes the install much eaiser
it’s probably the same process as my b7 3.2. I removed the front bumper cover, the actual metal bumper, and unbolted the radiator support frame to get enough space to work.
