I don’t understand how its a PITA, its just a few torx screws right? Is it possible to just buy a new ECU box ?
Yes it is possible to buy just a new ecu box. I did that myself. The box cost 65 dollars when I bought it.
Mine was hard to wiggle out, you are supposed to remove the windshield wiper arm.
New one is cheap… but it’s even cheaper to JB weld it 
So swapped in my stock ECU. Car is running great now actually. TCU is throwing codes though, talked to Keaton and we ate going to try and sort things out. All my comps are going out on Tuesday because of the holiday.
One thing I noticed is the past 2 days I’ve driven on the stock ECU, my vacuum leak codes have gone. Scanned the car several times and only got the tcu codes.
So thinkin I got a hold of a bad ECU. Away to JHM we go!
