SOLD… to Boatmobile!!!

Congratulations!

Lots of great car. He will enjoy it. We still never got an after exhaust clip.

Damn, you’re right. I should have taken one today. I am sure Boat will provide one for us once he gets home. He’s got a 3000km drive ahead of him, so we may have to wait a bit.

While I was checking the car over for Boat, we found one of the intake manifold actuator pods was damaged. Luckily, I had a spare S6/S8 intake manifold in the garage with the pods intact. We couldn’t change the pod before his trip as it was the hard to swap bottom one, but he has the parts to do it when he gets home. That should add up to another 20-30awtq to the low end.

I love the variable intake manifold design on the belt 4.2 S cars, but man, they are always breaking something. The only reason why I had the spare manifold in the garage was because I started stockpiling them during my A6 4.2 project. Anyone who has one of these cars should be checking the intake manifold every couple of months, at least. It only takes a minute.

Or just replace the whole damn thing with a blower. Problem fixed.

Ding ding that’s the right idea.

Yes! Yes!! I’ll take it! A white Avant with a V8! Yes!! How come no one told me about this thread lol. How is the iPhone for a microphone to do a clip of the exhaust?

Sakimano posted a writeup somewhere of a format to be used for exhaust videos. If you have the time, it would be cool to have one following the format he suggests.

PM him and Ill sure he’ll be able to provide it to you.

If you youre too busy for that, then something quick and easy should suffice. An iPhone should be fine.

Sounds good. I’ll message him. Yeah it would be nice to have a “before” and “after” for when the headers are done.

Yeah, you definitely want a before and after of that
