2008 Audi RS4 Cabriolet: APR Supercharger: 6K Miles

My brother is selling his pristine 2008 RS4 Cab with under 6K miles. Original owner (Carrera motors in Bend Oregon).

Ibis White (Only Option)
APR TVS1320 Supercharger (installed at Carrera)
Laser Interceptor

I will post up some pics tomorrow; picking it up from the detailer. I am in Seattle, WA.

He is asking $60K. PM me if interested. Again, I am selling as a favor so please don’t bug me if you are not serious.

Throwing it up here first, than going to AZ, Craigslist and Autotrader next week.

That’s a neat car. Surprised you’ve not mentioned it before (or maybe I just missed it)

did you ever race him? Or too far away?

Never mentioned it on here, and I have only driven it a couple times before.

My brother is not the racer type and battling health problems, so we never got to take it down the strip. Kind of why he is selling, not the right car for life stage.

Snapped some quick pics when I stopped by to check progress.

Wow. Still original tires?

yup

wow all around. Hope it sells. Hope he gets better too more importantly. Just noticed your reply.

I hope all goes well!

Jeez, that things had what like 1 oil change. Thats crazy. Its like the guy hasn’t even gotten to own the car yet driving it that little.

Not sure if this is still available, but just passed your information over to the guy who started a thread on Audizine.

Still available.

Dropbox link for info and pics:

I haven’t officially listed it yet because I am waiting for the title to be in my hand from my brother. He had to to a re-issue as his ex wife was still listed on it.

So I am typing up the Ebay listing for this car.

I am thinking starting price at $40K and buy it now at $55K.

Any recommendations?

no idea. It’s such a one off. I would be inclined to post this in the Audizine thread ‘looking for low mileage RS4’

post the entire thing you posted here. Or a link to this page with some summary info. Guys will likely freak out.

what’s an RS4 worth? $35k average trade price?
what’s a convertible add to that? Hard to say…maybe nothing. Maybe lots? If you’re selling to enthusiasts, usually not much. Selling to GT buyers, sure a premium.
what’s a super low mileage RS4 worth over a regular one? Probably adds $5000 to 8000 in value. So guessing $43,000 for a super low mile RS4.

Then you’ve got an APR supercharger on it…which was worth $15,000 at one point, but is now worth around $5000-8000 (depends how informed the buyer is). Now…is that accretive when selling a car? no, unfortunately. It’s almost worthless because you eliminate the GT stock car loving buyers…and are forced to wait, and find a guy who wants an RS4 cab (slim market)…in white (also slim)…and one that has the previous generation supercharger kit.

Personally, I would take the car to JHM, have them put it back to stock, and sell the kit seperately. Then try to get $43,000-45,000 for the car and $6,000 for the supercharger.

Leaving them together, I think you’re going to still only get around $43,000-45,000…but it will take a hell of a lot longer because of the supercharger.

All just my opinion my man. Not gospel. I’ve watched the Rs4 market over the years, and hopefully recent buyers like euroswagr etc can give additional thoughts.

Just did a post.

Funny enough I found this in the for sale area:

I am more inclined to sell it on ebay vs. AZ, more eyeballs and less idiots with no money.

Yeah, the whole stock vs. modified thing is a debacle – especially considering its a convertible and more likely to attract a female buyer who doesn’t want the worry of breaking down on the side of the road.

I am selling for my brother, and I don’t have the time to demod it or do anything else besides sell it for him. So I its off to ebay with a starting bid of $35K and a buy it now price of $50k.

This is a pretty rare car in immaculate condition. I wouldn’t settle or give someone a steal of a deal unless the money is really needed, but it could take a while to find a real buyer.

I think returning the car to stock like Saki mentioned and selling the car “stock” with 6k miles and the supercharger seperate is a pretty great idea if you want to get the most out of it. If not, I think it will be hard to get $50k…but then again who really knows.

Here are the details of the car I just bought for reference, hopefully it helps a little.

2008 Misano RS4 sedan
Tiatnium package
Audi exclusive interior
56k miles
Sale price on the car was just over $35k
Interior was immaculate
Mechanical checkout was great
Noraml wear on the outside for 56k, but still in great shape

After I called and worked my deal they actually increased the price online to $41k, from $38k, I think they were trying to sell it out from underneath me…lol

My brother is a realist, and wants to sell it…so I am just looking for a realistic and fair pricing scheme.

Based on feedback I am leaning towards $35K starting bid, buy it now $48K

Good luck man

is there a reserve price? and will your buy it now option disappear once a real bid is in and reserve is met?
