I’ve driven it a whole weekend thus far so we’ve got a long way to go however Saki and I had a bit of fun yesterday.
-
the stock tune - VERY noticeable that things don’t get interesting until after 2600rpm. That seems to be the spot that if you’re modulating a steady application of gas, as you sweep past 2600 acceleration becomes much more “brisk.”
-
filmed myself backing into the garage just to see how loud it would be. I’ll post it later however one interesting thing was the releasing of the parking brake really sounded like I accidentally cranked the starter with it already running. Then I stalled on account of the incline into my garage. If you don’t believe me look at the pic of it in my driveway.

better mileage than the outgoing Jeep TJ. Nothing like going up 2 cylinders, driving spiritedly and saving gas.
-
if you care about such things… interest in it from my female friends on facebook is exceptional. Lots of comments and “likes,” starting to get personal messages.

Saki ran a 5.6 second 0-60 with ESP on. Once it was off the clutch was too hot…stay tuned. Looking for that 4.9 this weekend. No pressure pal.

speaking of Sakimano, geez he is one encyclopedia of these cars. He gets in and easily points out a billion things way beyond the dealership’s knowledge.
