dissapointing imo, isn’t it automatic only also? I guess bc it’s not coming to the US it will suit Europeans better, but no sedan and 6mt just doesn’t get me going as much even though I do like avants.

I’m just waiting for NWS4guy to tell you how it’s not a torque converter so it’s not an automatic…even though it automatically changes gears (even when you don’t want it to) and it doesn’t have a clutch pedal lol.
Doesn’t look like an RS4 though. What’s with the hideous flat chin? Looks really weird. Also no bulges etc. Just looks like an S4. Which looks exactly like an A4. Which makes no sense.
is it possible that the A4 All Road is better looking than the Rs4???

Yeah… I’d have to say that one fell flat on it’s face as far as design goes. Massive step down from the looks of the B7, which is still an absolutely gorgeous car.
to be fair tho… that is a picture of an S4 thats been heavily photoshopped. real life I’m willing to bet will look significantly better(although not nearly as aggressively beautiful as the b7 rs4)

As Saki as stated before, if it’s not coming here, then the value of the B7 RS4 will remain high, which is good in my books.
I noticed on that link that they uploaded more photos. I sure do like those carbon ceramic brakes and those seats are absolutely killer.
I love the manual in my RS, but I’ve heard good things about Audi’s DSG, although I’ve never driven an Audi with that transmission. If this car ever came here I think I’d consider it.
i call em Frankensteins, i do em all the time for mercedes. you’d be surprised how little of these press photos are real. they will alter the major components like bumpers and such from sample shots and apply them to current shots of the s4. cuts serious costs, to modify an existing shot is much cheaper than doing a full job on a new car thats extremely similar. when i have some time ill run thru some software here at work and itll be able to pick up the areas that have been photoshopped and retouched but if you look close enough its pretty easy to see. the flairs for instance are the major give away, they’re playing with lights and darks to create the illusion of flared fenders
I’m sure I don’t know near as much as Richi about Photoshopped stuff but those are look like they came out of a video game or something. I don’t think any of the exterior shots are real photos. If they are they look heavily altered. Not sure on the interior.

I’ll take the newer design dual intake, the seats, the brakes and the steering wheel. The rest they can keep.

the thing I like the most most most about this car is the dual intake. Just seems like a no brainer. Not sure why it doesn’t get more attention. Tuning this car for more power will I’m sure yield really significant gains. I sure hope the B8 RS5 gets into JHM’s hands at some point here. Would be cool to see an 11 second all motor Audi on pump gas, full interior, full luxury.
at the very least i helped JHM get a head start on some LW rotors ;D
nobody is talking about this. I think it’s fantastic news…the S5 sportback is in my opinion a great looking 4 door, and I liked the original S5 Sportback better than the B8 S4. I imagine the refresh should continue that trend. Anyone know how big it is?
p.s. Karsty - bad news for our cars’ resale. We need to start a STOP THE RS5 SPORTBACK petition lol
