I just had a wake up call after an acquaintance gave me a life in lovely black 2012 RS6.
What a beast - those rear exhaust pipes are insane… the bloody size of them!! The V8 has a different growl, its good to be sure, but a bit ‘hollow’, I have to say (although I’m biased obviously!..) is that its not a patch on a V10.
The biggest wow is the acceleration from 60 to 100mph+ - completely smooth and effortless - you don’t even know it happened…suddenly it says 120mph and nothings changed in ride comfort. He did moan about the fact ‘no one appreciates how fast his car is’… and I get that now from both being inside the car and outside.
