2014 Audi S5 coupe DSG, Giac stage 2 w/pulley+dsg software and roc euro intake

Hello guys/gals, coming from audizine, suggested from Ron E. and Mike to post my logs on here for dissection
due to having problem with giac tune not giving me not so great value. I have this tune on at 7K mile and i’m 10K mile right now. Just actually start logging via vagcom vcds and was disappointed at the numbers i’m getting for 0-60 time, so i farther my reading.

You’ve come to the right place. No childish crap here just a large collection of members here looking to help.

If you’ve gotten to the track post those results as well. If not post your acceleration results outside of logs for an easy read.

Glad you made it over here bud! Great forum and like Hayden said little to no drama… Like I mentioned in my emails your timing is pathetic… That’s your biggest issue as I see it… Also, not sure why you are getting the slight bypass… I’d see what the revised GIAC revision does and maybe hit the dragstrip to get some times… Seems all the tuners are having issues with the 14s. See my post in the b8 s4 section… Psugold has the GIAC tune and tcu tune and ran 13.6! Ouch… They will get it figured out as they’re a good tuner so hang in there… Again, welcome to the forum!

thanks, good to be part of the forum.

Should I just hang tight till Giac V2 come out (hopefully soon) before even putting
this on the Dyno?

Is this even on par with stock? Or at least a little better.

Welcome to the forum, kappax. I’d avoid the dyno altogether, as it will only give you meaningless results - regardless of whether it’s GIAC V1 or V2.

Acceleration data will really tell you how your car is running. 1/4 mile is key in that regard. Do you have a track nearby? If so, you shld make a few passes and post up the time slips. That will really tell you all you need to know about how the tune is performing.

Edit: 1/4 mile logs are great as well.

Thanks, I will look to see if there’s a track nearby. In the mean time, what else can I log via vagcom vcds that would help?

Would an updated cps help his timing?

Is the timing bad because the parameter for request is cautious or because it is pulling(retard) tons of timing? I can’t open the files

Kap, I’d wait it out as GIAC knows what they are doing and are good… The fact they have a v2 coming tells me they know something is up they’re just not going to advertise it… Like Brandon says screw the dyno… Hit the strip… More fun, cheaper, and more telling…

Hyden, he isn’t getting a ton of correction the car is just not showing much timing compared to others… Don’t have the logs open now but it was below 10 in the one above 5000 rpm and barely above 10 in the other three above 5k… Iats were high but not outrageous… Lower iat may cause the car to show more timing but I think the tuners set a specific target and use retard to adjust based on iats and other things but I’m speculating based on logs not tuning experience…

Saki, car just isn’t requesting enough but he dud see a little pull also…

Sounds like they rushed out a 14 tune then. They will update it.

Welcome, nice to see a guy modding a 3.0T S5…that is pretty rare around the forums.

Where are you located?

Thanks, Lafayette, La.

I couldn’t wait for so many miles before getting it, I had to have it now, even though the car is fast already.

Thanks primetime incredibly helpful. Very good information.

I think i forgot to turn on the google drive doc sharing, just turned it on for public sharing.
