Just went to the one in Vancouver, I’m assuming it is happening in other provinces / Murrica as well? Wasn’t very impressed, I think I was there for less than 1 hour. New BMW interiors were unimpressive, even in the M5. The only car that stood out to me was the Infiniti Q80 concept car. Oh, and the ATS-V was kind of cool.
didn’t go to the Toronto one. It’s basically like going to the car dealership unless you’re in New York, Detroit or LA. Nothing of consequence gets shown otherwise.
ours is huge, but again it’s just a bunch of cars
when I was a kid, or when I didn’t have a car, I always liked going. Now I almost can’t be bothered unless it’s for free, and even then I may need further coaxing.
Yeah, Seattle has one too and it’s pretty “meh”. The highlight of the last one I went to was meeting a Seattle Sounder’s player and getting his autograph. LOL!
Well, I suppose it was the first time I saw a B8 S4 in person. A few months after that, I bought one.
I find there are some cars that look a lot different in person, like the Ford GT. So it’s worth it to see them in person. But all of the cool auto show stuff/reveals happens during the press/industry days, so you have the choice of going the first weekend with all the models and massive crowds…or go later with smaller crowds but less energy. I probably won’t go to NAIAS (detroit show) next year unless there is something really cool I want to see. Might be more interesting if you are thinking about buying a new car. They don’t even let you sit in most of the nicer cars: M3, R8, I8, 911, C63 etc.
Will be interested to see what you think of the new one in person. Sadly the $400k price ticket will probably mean slightly less on the road haha. Not a lot of people will be willing to shell out 400k for a status symbol with the blue oval on it.
Attended the nyias today and this thing was there, omg in person it’s gorgeous. Look at the gap going through the b pillar area to the rear, aero is on point. Show wise, it was large and uneventful, sans a few, at least the hostesses were mostly hot, the women at these shows are getting much better looking. That was a nice touch.
