4.0 TFSI Stock Dyno Figures (S6/S7)

My fastest run was @-1850 DA. I haven’t done a new run with -3000 DA yet. Will get to it soon. Want to test the shift fix they applied to v2.2 as well as 104 tune.

So 2850 feet difference. In other words pretty dramatic.

Oh no question about that. I’ll try and get some -3000 insane DA times like Paul and Richi had, one night this week or next if possible.

Bummer. We planned to hit the strip but rain was in the forecast so brunch as the Baas’ instead. Maybe next weekend. We shall see.

Arin, show some love and share the dyno #'s you posted on FB. Th number are incredibly impressive. The delta from stock to tuned only on 100 is insane.

The stock numbers are insane based on what Audi claimed the crank numbers are. Hugely underated.

Here you go:

These are the raw dyno graphs (93 and 100). We used 93 for stock. 6 runs chipped, 6 runs stock.

Lol damn that transmission, my car on K04s ran a 9.47 60-130 on E85 And I had the hardest time busting into the 11s hahaha I need to have Scotty make me a dog box… Or something.

Scott? Ask for your brothers old Scott rebuild job. It held up for about five minutes.

That wasn’t Scott’s rebuild, that was David Chang’s. synchros were sourced from scott if IIRC but it wasn’t even a full synchro kit.

Incredible. Thanks.

So Arin…will this engine fit in my bay!!!

It’s too big from what I hear.

Irrelevant for you. New blower for the 4.2 FSi from APR. Don’t forget JHM too.

which 4.2 FSI? For which car?

Aghhhhh

[quote]IMHO I feel it’s difficult to embarrass a 4,400lb “luxo-barge” sedan that nearly runs neck and neck vs a “super car” that has won so many accolades for its acceleration. I’ve run against a few R35 GTRs already. From a roll, against two different stock 2009 GTRs (480 hp) the stock S6 stays side by side and once over 100 mph it ever so slowly inches away. I’ve replicated this several times, always the same result. I will say though the 2012+ GTR Black Edition (530hp) is noticeably quicker than the stock S6… but with this APR software recalibration I know the recalibrated S6 would be FASTER (from a roll) than a 2009-2011 GTR. Once tuned, a run against a 2012+ GTR will likely result in both cars running neck and neck WOT from a roll. At worst, the 12+ GTR would be marginally quicker. I guess when it comes down to straight line acceleration, it sounds like the same playing field to me!

I don’t think he realizes how significant an 11.6 car is vs. a 10.8 car.

LOL! Yeah that dude is way off base… But hey he has already raced a few of them, right? Sure you have, post a vid then please… Wonder when he will take his S6 to the strip? I won’t hold my breath… I hope he does and it’s like a 2000DA… Then he will go 12.0x and either not post the results or make excuses…

lol I would hate to say I beat a gtr in any car… Nobody ever believes you.

The early ones were indeed a lot slower than the new ones…but the new ones are insane. Saying you can beat them is like saying you think you can out arm wrestle the guy who finished FIFTH at ‘Worlds Strongest Man’ because you have been doing some push ups. Sure he was fifth, but he’s still going to pull your arm out of the socket. Early gtrs would still beat a stock s6 at any race from any speed.

In highway pulls the 2008 would easily walk him.

The 2009-2011 ones would rape him.

The 2012-2013 ones would probably lap him, by circumnavigating the globe.

Gotta love this quote… “+1 IMO I would take a stock or tuned S6 over a GTR anyday. At the end of a day its a Nissan with a big motor in it.”

Ummm… actually the motor is smaller displacement wise than what is in his S6… LOL!

The new blower from APR/Eaton. 17-something. Although B8 S5 isn’t on the compatibility list.

Nor is b7 rs4
Means it’s wide open for jhm now.
