75K Inspection

So my I’m about to hit 75K on the odometer, which means my warranty will be up. I’m taking it to a reputable shop to have them perform a full mechanical inspection, leakdown test, check for vacuum & exhaust leaks.

What other things should I have them specifically check?

So you’re going to a 3rd party shop to have them go through every detail of the car to go back to audi with? Interesting idea, not a bad one, but not one I’ve really heard of before. Might be hard to really convince audi though that what the 3rd party shop finds is really a part at the “failure point” not just considered normal wear and age but still operable. By all means though, get as much covered under warranty while you still can.

really? I do this every time. I also ask the Audi service manager to look for popular TSB stuff etc. when the car is in for it’s last AudiCare appt before warranty expiration.

Actually it’s a third-party warranty that is really liberal with claims approval. The shop performing the inspection would perform any repairs for mechanical problems they find.

Speaking of TSBs, are there any on our cars? I wonder if I could get the right valve cover replaced with the revised one like koolade did.
