A few new (to me) goodies

I wish we could have but busy schedules prevented it. Its installed. Here’s a few phone pics. Wish I would have taken some on the lift. Fits great and cleared all known rub areas. Helps it was originally fabbed on car (not mine originally but still)

Still was a good learning experience “helping”, watching and doing what I could. My local shop (last ten years) is cool about me hanging out and lurking. Good guys.

Still need to come up with a finished tip and 3.5 inlet designs are a bit hard to come by but I’ll take my time and find one I like. I’d like to get a double walled resonated tip but this Frankenstein raw pipe is surprisingly quiet under normal load and highway cruising speed. I’d hate to introduce drone. Get on it though, and it screams! A little raspy and not the prettiest but I am happy!

Gonna try and capture some in car video clips today. Phone sandwiched between headrest / seat method. I don’t dink around with this kind of stuff much. Any pointers?

Glad you like it! It’s not subtle by any means but it certainly gives the car a completely different attitude. It only gets better with time! Have you driven under an overpass or through a tunnel? It’s insane especially when rpm’s hit the 3.5k mark.

Yep, I enjoyed driving the car all weekend. Theres a train track under pass near my house that I go through everyday. The thing absolutely screams.

Honestly, the best part about it is how quiet it is at part throttle and highway cruising speed.

Is your exhaust tip finished or just raw pipe?

Angle-cut raw tip, with all of the gunk and crap this thing produces I think a finished tip might be a real challenge to keep clean so I went with the raw option.

Traded my tru dual techtonics exhaust and dp’s (now removed) for a set of RPF1’s. Tires getting mounted as a write this. Good deal.

There is just something about new tires that gives the car a new feel of assurance and fun… Pictures or it didn’t happen

Will post after I pick em up and throw them on. I’m excited about the lightweight wheels too. My tire choice isn’t the lightest, bridgestone S-04’s, but they were a good buy at $145 each.

Too dark out. Tomorrow morning. But everyone knows what rpf1’s look like anyway.

Car sounds good man. RPF1’s looking good.

Thanks man. I’m liking the new look and beefier tires combo.

Looking baller!

Thanks Jake. Running good too. Imagine that.

245/35 conti dw tires (21 lbs) being mounted on the 18x9 advans (18 lbs) today. Sub 40 on all four corners. I got issues.

Running good!? Maybe your CEL is just broken.

Well I didn’t want to say anything…

Haha I am glad to hear it though man. Running good is not a common thing for B5s

Meh. Just lowered expectations. All relative I guess.

Testing out the advans. Not really in love with them.refinish them in silver most likely.

That and the rims make for great news.

Thanks! Might need your assistance with a dedicated race file for the strip

And maybe a few airstrip roll race events.

Consider it done. If you still have a stock motor we will have to keep a good amount of power on the table to keep it alive, but there is enough room for some big big gains. The B5’s really love race gas.
