Some great ideas from koolade on how to proceed.
Is the hardware the same as on the B7 A4? Might be an idea to ask those guys on AZ. Lots of them there. Or ask Jake@JHM as he has a B7 and deals with the B7 A4 crew on AZ.

There are two psi switches on these cars? I changed the one on the right side of the condenser. It’s brand new now. I thought about relay but I have no idea where that is. I searched and can’t find a straight answer
If it’s just like the a4 then that would def help
Thankfully it did when going straight, but turns could get a little dicey at the right angle.

Okay, so it never even kicked on when you attempted to charge it… So it should look at the low pressure switch, which if the code for that comes and goes as you fill it, means that sensor should be working properly… Second thing it’ll look for is the temp probe working properly (assuming we have one on this car) but that shouldn’t be an issue in your case… That leaves the compressor relay…have you checked that yet? I’d hate to see you drop big $ for a compressor on a hunch without fully diagnosing the problem…

Should only be one…there might be a high pressure switch, but I doubt it. I’d still fall back that the a/c relay may have failed on you. I can’t give you a solid answer of where it is… Have you tried calling JHM yet? They’re A/C guru’s and can point you in the right direction pretty quickly…

I’ll try to get in touch with them asap. Thanks koolade
is the AC unit accessible reasonably easily? Or is it a nightmare?
is it expensive (part)?
If it’s manageable I’d be inclined to just replace it if the car has 7 years on it. Many of the 07 cars were put on the road in late 06/early07…so that’s 7 to 7.5 years ago.
The AC compressors are in the same position on the B6/7 S4s and B7 RS4s. So the front clip has to come completely off and then remove the driver’s side engine mount to get to the shaft that drives it. Pain in the ass job. It is almost as bad as having to replace the Alternator and you have the JHM supercharger kit.
I’m leaning towards compressor now. Spoke to Jhm and they are saying the same thing. Hope that’s it and not an $800 guess. Took it to a shop. Not doing that on my back lol.

So yea compressor was the culprit. it was actually leaking from the compressor. And somehow wouldn’t turn on either.

Yup, that’s my issue. Two years and counting.
