Acting wierd

Whats up guys. About a month ago i meet up with some buddies for a photoshoot and we did a couple videos.
While there the rpm’s seemed to be not dropping like they use to.
If you watch this video, toward the end you can hear i let off the gas and the rpm’s stickin.

I didnt really think anything of it, but about a week later i sent my ecu out to JHM for a LA and flash update. Last week i got the ecu back in and went for a cruise.

It still seems that nothing has changed. When im on the highway in 6th(or any gear), i let off the gas in gear and the rpm sticks for 2-3 seconds then drops back down

Im planning on cleaning the TB but is there anything else i should look for?

Have you viewed your LTFT’s recently? I’d check those first.

I haven’t done anything so far. Hopefully this weekend I’ll go threw it and see if
I find anything

does your cruise control work? I was having a similar issue with hanging RPM’s after letting off the gas in gear as well as the cruise not working. I replaced the clutch (or brake?) position switch and that fixed everything.

good point, the clutch position sensor will interact with howlong the throttle stays open and should turn off cruise control when you hit the clutch. Without the sensor the ecu doesnt really know that the clutch is open and there is no longer any meanignful load.

Hmm idk if it works. I’ll have to try it out.
Is the switch located on the clutch pedal?

Pretty much. Pop off the cover where the pedals mount under the dash and you should see the switch near the top of the clutch pedal. It’s a rectangle switch with a little plunger that contacts the pedal when it is fully let out. On mine the plunger was stuck inside the switch. It’s a $25 piece. Part # 7H0-927-189.

there’s something else that has a problem when this is going out. Is it Cruise Control?

EDIT:

Ok so i drove it again tonight and it seems that the cruise control works with the arm(moving it up or down)
But if its on cruise and i push the clutch down, the rpms just up then back down.
At 8 seconds is push the pedal down

I’ve had the rpm hang, while shifting gears 1-4, for awhile now. And I have also had happen on a few occasions what you showed in the first video. But my cruise control works like it should, it does not hang or increase when i push the clutch in.

Wonder if the switch is my problem too…any way to test the switch for resistance?
