For street driving I would say from that angle is dosent look too bad for everyday car. I think a side shot might really expose the full range of the wing.
You mentioned the finial weight I think you mentuoned it somewhere but what was the total weight loss.
I personally have given up on the b8 so I wouldn’t have to do this. Wrong car, wrong application IMO. What West is doing is fine though. If he enjoys it then all good.
Personally though, I am of the opinion I could have spent less money and have a superior track car (ie: exige, z06)…and said car would actually be doing what it was designed for.
On the other hand, I do see how turning a car into something it otherwise wasn’t to be interesting.
I started this thread 9 months ago. And holy shit does this wing work. Would recommend to anyone with adjustable suspension. My disbelief is not with the cornering speeds, which are up considerably even on lower speed corners. It is that my top line speed has also improved. The car must have been lifting far more than I thought on the straightaways.
What I have built is a DIY R8 GT.
I really think I saved a lot of money compared to what I want, which is a proper Porsche GT car. Ideally in RS trim. But I don’t want to jump in the deep end of the pool so I will start scrappy with tracking the Boxster.
The great thing about AR is that committed members read all subforums because we’re all interested in everyone’s projects. That’s because we just love cars.
I did get a laugh about your post, though, given the irony of you blowing up the Tesla thread for a year now (you know, the subforum about a car you don’t own).
