aftermarket aero for B8

The optics are deceiving here. It is less wide than the mirrors, and no wider than the door handles. Doesn’t block the rear view mirror at all while driving because it is sufficiently tall.

It’s set at a 10 degree angle of attack, and has the gurney flap attached.

Well done West. Car looks pretty sweet. Appreciate that you’re so invested in making this car a serious track weapon. Look forward to some track pics with the new wing/vents and to hear your impressions on the new mods.

Here is a less dramatic angle.

are you considering taking off the lip spoiler now?

The change of angle makes all the difference. It actually dosent look bad. The one angle made it look huge but it turned out ok.

Cant you get the DTM front end with those functional parts. That would help out too right or no…

i dont know why but i can see the pics you posted on the page before but not this page. Work filter maybe?

Got the whole wing job done for $2000 even, with tax+freight+install.

Yup. You’re a fucking idiot.

Quoted so I’m not going to wake up thinking I’m dreaming

Possibly the smartest thing I’ve ever done. Entertaining when I drive it. Hilarious when I post about it.

that’s the right attitude, I’m getting a BOV installed on my S3 for entertainment and laughs too!

This isnt something normal from the APR catalog right. This is something from there race team from when they had a B8 S4 race car…

Different APR company all together. They make carbon fiber race car parts for any car

Looks good west. Didnt want to go with a chassis mount wing? Would think that would look pretty insane.

I was told that would not be necessary in a touring car application.

Why? The two reasons you proffer suggest you get off on masochism.

Are there any other reasons why this is the smartest thing you’ve ever done? You know, apart from the masochist stuff?

Where have all the B8 guys gone? As a former B8 owner, I feel compelled to deride this utter monstrosity. It boggles the mind that ANYONE would think this is a positive addition to the car. Skywagon’s hood destruction pales in comparison to this execrable, anti-aesthetic slab of metal that has no business attaching itself to your trunk. This is insanity to the nth degree.

It’s about time someone says it.

I don’t see how this is different than running 18" wheels because they are “better for track”. If you can measure a performance improvement, do it.

I think it is less ugly than a wagon, and lighter.

So here is the new suspension settings:

25.65" ride height rear (loaded 250 lbs aero)
-3.3 camber front
