aftermarket aero for B8

What makes you say that

You can just pull up on it, particularly on the passenger’s side. Even at 80 MPH on the highway it has a little bit of lift.

So, something like these aerocatch latches?

thats what i would buy. Cleanest looking hood pins.
they do have carbon looking ones to match better also.

The ones i posted are the 125 series, the ones you have are 120. The 125 mount under, and the 120 mount above. Not sure how hard it would be to do the under mount ones.

they also make the carbon in 120

Lol the hood pins weigh as much as the hood.

You can look for post mount hood pins. They are light and easy for all around use.

skip the one with the key since you can retain the stock latch as well. I personally the all black ones, The carbon look might not fit the weave of the hood. I guess I get a told you so…

They weigh 15.2 ounces not that much

Yeah, they are a hair under a pound. I guess I was expecting something as light as a hinge. There is some heft to it, more like a doorknob.

Well i guess if you run hood pins, you can technically remove the stock hood latch, which will probably weigh more. The stock hood latch does have a micro switch in it, so you will need to trick the car when you do oil changes to reset the interval if you do remove it.

WOW some great tips there.

Need active aero system http://www.dtm.com/en/news/drag-reduction-system-drs-s-how-it-works-2015-09-18.html

Oh yeah, the DRS system in the DTM series is awesome to watch. I make sure i watch them all. By far my favorite type of car racing to watch. And they like to rub fenders quite often.

Got it done for less than $22k http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/news/a29891/lamborghini-huracan-body-kit/

The hood pins are in. They did a painstaking job to get them aligned with the hood crease, flush with the top, and pointed in the right direction. ++karma to anyone who said I would need them. It was shady driving over the bay bridge once without them on, hood flapping like a 737 wing on takeoff. Will post up a pic later.

Do they eliminate the issues with the hood coming up. That is very streemlined. They dont look bad at all.

Yeah the hood ain’t moving when it’s latched 3x.

It is a bit ridiculous in most circumstances other than track days.
