aftermarket seats for motorsports

I don’t think multi function buttons being disconnected would throw an error. I sort of prefer clean steering wheels. I think I could fit the 982 wheel for the 718 Boxster onto my 981 Boxster without an issue. I doubt even a B9 wheel would fit on a B8.

generaly what stops one generator of wheel working on the older cars is the air bag electronic working.

Im not a fan of porsche interior but that wheel looks great

Feels like new car. This is a bit thicker than what I had.

At first I wasnt really a big fan of the new steering wheels enough to get one. Now the more I see them the more I like them. That looks great. Nice addition

The piano black trim on the new wheel is very nice. It’s also a bit deeper than the old one. The way it mounts to the hub means it just comes out closer to you.

Listed the old wheel: http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/151982779558

Fk it

Lol, nice!

no reason for back seats anyways.

That 7 speaker front-only B&O system.

If anyone is curious about the weight:

rear door panel with speakers - 7.5 lbs (x2)
rear deck with subwoofer - 7.1 lbs
rear bench - 14.5 lbs

Can you maybe consider doing a weight thread or just adding all the weights to this one. Thats very interesting stuff. your full race now. maybe include how the weight removal effected the balance of the car

Still has a nice headliner and all the creature comforts up front, minus the heated seats.

I’m going to see if a Porsche Boxster Spyder cloth door pull assembly will open an Audi door. $90 experiment.

The Bmw guys have a retrofit kit. Seems pretty easy to replicate for the Audi.

My next project is going to be removing the center console from the cupholders back. I don’t need the box with the rear seat vents and ashtrays. Going to take a hack saw to it, unbolt the back, and sand off the edges.

if your going that far might as well gut it…

Also, curiuos how much you actually save in weight if you do this.

wow your going for it, time to find a sunroof delete panel.

Painted the window motors black, and put the speaker covers back on to fill the giant hole in the door. Speaker elements were removed. I like the Audi rings on them.

so from the front seats forward, OEM, from the front seats backwards, race car!
