Funny…nothing has gone faster frankly on an S4 on turbo alone.
welll in his defence, I wouldn’t go and do a baseline run just to appease guys like us. Why? If it’s legit but his clutch sucks, and he runs 11.7 @ 134…that’s a massive failure for the ‘most powerful S4 in the world’. There;'s no point. 034 did this…ran a mediocre time considering the power claims…and showed everyone they’re making probably 400 whp. Which is awesome…but isn’t 500 whp. Fortunately for 034 the B5 scene is primarily made up of people who live and die by the dyno sheet, so they didn’t even realise that time was crap.
Frankly RSworx shouldn’t have released the dyno at all. The way you do it is you dyno it during tuning, then make sure the car is fast at the dragstrip. When you’re done, you release all of the info. Not piecemeal. If you have to release something on its own, you release the timelsip/video of your car actually going fast. That’s my opinion of course. They can do whatever they want but doing it this way just means it’s another unproven dyno sheet. Again though, that seems to work. Look at the perfervid reactions on both the RSworx thread and the 034 single turbo to the dyno results lol.

Spot on. But your prediction further down traps in the 130s is off burning coals 600awhp 5.4 60-130 dump only trapped 128 so im going to go with 129 with them because they will make up the weight excuse of an avant!
Looks like Clint its still sticking to his built in excuse for failure and fir avoiding the strip. He said this is response to someone saying that,740 whp wagon should run in the 10s comfortably.
Strange that so many other cars with the 01e and this gearing don’t seen to have a problem. Just team dyno and team ‘dragstrip is.kryptonite’.

Even though a bunch of guys have gone tens with it and haven’t complained a lick. Seems the 01e works for everyone but the tial/epl guys. Although the jfonz tuned 770 car went 11.1 @ 130…so that leaves only the epl part of the equation that needs help in the case of the 01e.

Lets get some input on what a car with this power and this torque and this area under the curve SHOULD run.
Personally when I think of 740 whp, awd, 3700 lbs, my thought process immediately starts at low low tens to high nines at nearly 145-150 mph.
Do we have any comparables?
Guru trapped 140 making around 625 or 650 whp (can’t remember). This wagon weighs about 150 lbs more than guru in theory…so I don’t think that should kill its chances of putting a beating on guruman . That kind of weight average can be made up with modest amounts if power…I’m thinking about 20 whp. If they are making 100 more to the wheels…that should make up for that weight a few times over…so them trapping 142-144 or something shouldn’t be out of the question.
If were being technical about this. The 700whp car will be no faster then the other 700whp flops in the past. Why… Its simple. Area under the curve. Lets just for the sake of conversation say this car actually made 700whp or more. Did we not forget that the 770 turbos spool slow and late… I know I know. There will be some guy without a 770 car that will chime in and post a log of how great a 770 can boost. But lets be honest this big dick swinging contest has been a failure every time. Unless of coarse your on a dyno or doing a video run that starts at 95mph :
There are a mountain of good reasons why the B8 S4 with about 200whp less then some of the Tial cars has been faster. Its called area under the curve.
Chances are it will have a strong MPH due to it only really starting to get going at about the 1/8th mile. Altho given this is a shop front car. I wouldn’t doubt that there is a chance of NOS being snuck on there to help pimp the shop. AMD did it to try and push there tial turbos. As this platform gets more and more dated and nothing new is coming out. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that more and more desperation moves are going to be made to make already lack luster products seem like gold.
I don’t know…the dyno plots look great. Since it is all we have to go on, and since these epl guys claim it is legit, lets hooks then to it.Justin, what do you think the car SHOULD trap if the numbers are legit.
Not what you predict it WILL trap…what SHOULD a 740 whp (900 crank our so HP) AWD car with an 01e, weighing about 3700 lbs trap?

well a 550whp e55 4100 car traps 130 so idk it should trap 145s at least
hard to compare platform to platform but I know what you mean.
If the car traps 130 and you use the MB argument, the apologist/coddlers will all say that it’s not a fair comparison due to gearing etc.
Just in the Audi B5 2.7T world we have a few examples of cars putting up big trap speeds. This car makes crazy power (according to the dyno, which is owned by the tuner, who is selling their tuning and these turbos
) so we should see some crazy trap speeds that had really better start with 14

It will trap about 138-142, not based on power alone, but whole package.
That’s a full out run at what weight I think it is. It would be cool if they sprayed too. If I can’t grab 9s this fall in sac I will probably do it.

Dunno, I was checking to see if they did. If I recall correctly their thread said they had a scheduled road test for Monday, weather permitting. I checked Englishtown’s weather and it seemed good. Or was the road test non 1/4 mile related?

Try my thread on epl tuning if you want the first clue as to why 770 cars have dragstripitis.
It is not the turbos alone (although they don’t really lend themselves to accelerating without epic boost, RPMs and timing)
It is the (epl) tuning. That’s my take on it and nobody has yet shown me a single fast epl Audi on the strip to prove me wrong.
There is one fast 770 car…but it wasn’t epl tuned. In fact the fastest 605 and 770 cars are not epl tuned…nor do epl have ANY of the fastest k04 or RS6 turbo B5 S4 times.
I entered every fast B5 S4 quarter mile time I could find from the various databases and forums and YouTube videos…and almost none of them were epl tuned. I think only one of the top thirty B5 cars is epl tuned…and even then it was tweaked quite a bit in lemmi. None if then are epl proper.
