The belt sits further in than the front face of the l/h cylinder head. So that would not be achievable. I hope they’re looking to run a wider belt with that charger, else failure is just around the corner. Just ask pes, or even apr.

they were talking about the RS4 stock belt being weak a while ago. I’d assume they changed it out.

To be honest I would buy it based of the involvement of aviva instruments alone.
Amd and epl have the same involvement with this as the tial 770s in ky eyes, people can source this hardware on their own. I already have pricing as you can get it al a cart.

Further they have no idea how much the motor can handle. They’re guessing based on what the r8 heffner kits did. That’s what we did on audirevolution to guess what the rs4 can handle…and we’re a bunch of nerds who own the cars but are surely in no position to gamble someone’s car on our best guess.

The Audi 4.2 High-speed motor, its response to FI and tuning has been established with other projects on the R8 V8. EPL is very capable with this motor. There will be a few things to work through that are specific to the RS4 and to SC.

Current limits will be fueling related. The 1900 will likely push past the mechanical limits as well. the 2300 if necessary will take that further. Rod and piston development will be on the way shortly for other 4.2 FI projects. The 2300, may prove redundant. The design allows for flexibility - which enthusiasts want. Its looking like there maybe no room for the 2300 to run a pulley large enough to make low enough boost for the stock internals.

I have no idea what epl and amd have for goals with the thing. I know the designer/manufacture personally and plan to put one on a b7 RS4 that belongs to one of my customers. I have not decided who will tune it, maybe I will try. It would be inherently different than amd or whoevers setup.
About 2 years ago I started a turbo kit for the RS4 but the project tanked, at the time most my work was based of what I learned with the r8, I see no harm in them tackling it with the same knowledge base.

I just think its odd for amd to not do their own homework. I’d want to do my own homework rather than trust what someone else said 'I.e. Heffner ‘said’ the r8 would make 600 whp (rwhp) on race gas…then showed nothing of the sort.
Maybe epl is doing tons of great r8 4.2 work and we’re just not hearing about it is the other possibility. In that case it would indeed be their work to trust.
