loving the vice grip
Looks better in the car. Oh well. We’ll see how it performs. Hopefully it puts down some good numbers at the track and on the dyno.

where’d you see that pic?
p.s. I thought this was funny…
[quote=ngng/bananaS4]the 1900 is MORE than enough for this motor, no reason to run the 2300

oh reary? the 1900 is capable of about 1000 CFM, or maybe 675 hp at the crank…but that’s before accounting for the power to run the blower. So let’s guess around 625-650 hp crank net of losses. That’s right around 500 whp. Maybe he was confused and was talking about the b6/7 S4 motor…but there are about half a dozen to a dozen TTS supercharged B7 RS4s already making around 500 whp.
The JHM supercharger is capable of about 1200-1300 CFM just for interest’s sake. :o
In any event, I think I’d like to see someone actually do the work to find the limits of the motor…rather than take ngng’s word for it lol. The TVS2300 kit they’re working on will be more capable of pushing the motor. If you want the TVS2300 with all the bells and whistles, it’ll be more like $17,500 (that according to AMD themselves). Pretty big bucks.
here’s the TVS1900 map.

id be thrilled with the 1900 on my car ;D
in all seriousness I bet you wouldn’t though. You would want a blower that was big enough to destroy your motor’s internals…tuned to back it off a little for safety. Only then. If the 3.0T can handle more than 500 whp, and you push the 1900 to it’s limit and the motor is safe, I guarantee someone will complain that APR left upside on the table.
is that a stock size pulley, cant really see it all that well…
Nice picture.
Interesting. I will be very interested to see some numbers on this. Charge coolers seem to be a very good depth so plenty of contact time with the air, but pressure drop will be interesting at those sort of airflow numbers. I’m a bit sceptical on airflow routing through the lid design as well, all seems rather cramped.
But let’s wait and see.
P.s saki, I think we have either 13 or 14 on rs4’s now. 2 more sold this week
That’s pretty cool.
Good to see the TTS kit is selling well!
I could say ‘make a great product and the market will recognize it and buy it’ but reality with Audi superchargers is that the market has a history of buying utter crap. They were lucky enough to stumble across the TTS kit, a proven performer for a change lol.
I think out of all the supercharger kits for all the cars, only 4 have proven to deliver on what they promised
APR RS4 (but only after asking Count Vohn for a lifeline when the original tune was a flop)
APR S5 (using the Count Vohn derived tune)
JHM B6/7 S4
TTS RS4
The others are all either terribly undersized blowers who promised more WHP than the blowers could produce at the crank (PES S4, PES S5, PES RS4, VF S4, VF RS4) or they were shrouded in mystery (MTM S4, MTM S5, MTM RS5).
congrats on the success of your work
delta, any of them make it off the island to the continent or North America?
I only know of the one that made it past Hadrian’s wall to Danny’s car
What pics do you guys want of it?
Yea there are a couple kits in Germany, a couple in France, one in bahrain and one being fitted to an s5 in the states right now. Oh and one in Poland.
wheres the s5 located in the states? does he want to do some pulls? hehe
lol AMD replaced that picture from their site with the attention pic whoring in progress. AZ thread is locked/deleted by the way.
I’m sure he will when it’s done. I’m actually not to sure where he is as I didn’t deal with the sale.
a good look at the pulleys/belts would be good. Kinda like this but closer up and without the practice wrap drawing.
