AMD's contribution

If what I am thinking is correct, they aren’t saying that at all. They are saying at redline it will make 1560cfm, but the blower is capable of 2050cfm at peak, so they are only running it at approx 75%.

Perhaps I misunderstand what they are saying, but it doesn’t seem like they are over driving the blower at all.

The stated max is 2050 cubic meter/hour (not cfm) per the email posted above

no he’s not saying that.

He is saying the blower (TVS1900) is capable of 1560 CFM at its peak (the blower has a redline too).

Eaton is saying the blower is capable of about 1200 CFM at its peak.

Nowhere on the compressor map is CFM mentioned. The units are metres cubed per hour. 1 metre cubed per hour = 0.59 cubic feet per minute (CFM). The map shows 2000 m3/hr as the last number on the x-axis. Peak is actually 2050 m3/hr.

Ahh, my mistake, I read that as CFM. You are correct, I am not sure what he is talking about then, it seems that he would be running it well past it’s limits to make 1560.

so please email him over on quattrofail and have him come straighten us out.

he thought I was posting over there as A4TDI or something but that’s not me. He asked me to email him (then deleted that post when he realised it wasn’t me) but I don’t know his email. Are there even pms over there?

Anyway, invite him over here to bring us up to speed.

Or Jason.

Or someone.

QW doesn’t have a PM system, typically you can click on somebody’s username and it will allow you to email them, but it doesn’t look like he has an email listed. To be honest, I doubt they would come here due in part to the reputation each forum has gotten from the other.

Does this forum even have vendors? How do people post about products? Or is it mainly a free forum?

This forum is scary if you’re full of shit or a troll. If you have legit parts that work and want to have a meaningful discussion its a great place.

Ask jfonz and tts.

Ain’t that the truth. Two of the fastest cars on here.

It is mainly a free forum. However, a vendor can post products, but they can expect to be asked to provide proof that the products are worth their weight.

That is exactly what happened to TTS, they stepped up to the plate and proved that their product was infact as valuable as dyno sheets and talk said it was.

it’s funny I was talking to someone about this site and they said ‘it’s just jhm fanboys’.

Actually it’s just fanboys of products that work. TTS is eating JHM’s lunch right now in the supercharged RS4 space, and jfonz is eating their B5 tuning profits up as well, but both companies are celebrated here for having success.

Fact is that the ‘jhm fanboys’ are really just fans of good parts, and lots of them hail from the B6/7 world, where for the last 3-4 years the only stuff that worked was JHM. Fact is the guys are just fans of good stuff.

Not to get too of topic but speaking about being fans of stuff that works (or at least really seems to) MRC posted a couple of videos on Facebook of a MRC tuned V10 R8 kicking the crap out of a Stasis supercharged V10 R8, and hanging tough with a Litchfield 650 GT-R (not sure what that means but it sounds cool). I asked if the MRC R8 was supercharged and some guy said it wasn’t but I can’t confirm it.

Interesting. Sounds impossible.

Would like to know the full modlists for both cars. Got a link to the video?

p.s. I like how nobody on quattrofail is asking any relevant questions about the AMD kit. Just licking AMD’s boots and throwing jabs at JHM and, strangely, this website.

well what are they going to ask if they have no knowledge of anything in the first place. its a bunch of old men or retards ala ngng that are butt hurt that the money they sat there and they threw at their cars didnt make them any better.

Tried linking, wouldn’t work correctly. The dude in the vid does say the R8 V10 is S/C’d though.

They also need a new passenger who can record vid better lol. Halfway through I’m picking up my laptop and rotating it 90* to watch.

Mrc tuned Audi r8 v10(stronic) running a remap and capristio exhaust vs stasis supercharged v10 (manual) the Mrc car handed the stasis car it’s lunch and then some. The litchfield 650 gtr is running a litchfield 650 setup basically 650hp, litchfield are one of the uk’s premier gtr tuners a long with the likes of svm.

Not sure if this will work.

was the supercharged car broken? because as much as I’d like to see Stasis get owned, it doesn’t make a bunch of sense.

capristo exhaust, if it’s anything like their other Audi products, likely adds just about nothing to the equation, especially on a mid-engined car. A tune on that car might be good for 40-60 hp at the crank (since we know it’s pretty detuned). A TVS2300 even if tuned by morons, should be able to add 100 hp and torques on that car in its sleep. 200 would be more realistic, within the safe confines of the stock internals.

How a tuned car beats it is a bit hard to understand.

We’ve seen it with the M90 kits on the S4s and the Rs4s, but that’s not an M90 kit. That’s a legitimate blower.

Stronic versus manual creates a big gap. I’m sure nige’s car is around 600 ps with a higher launch control and quicker shift. He beats the stassis car hands down the video was taken at vmax a top speed event held in the uk I sometimes attend. Both cars are set off at the same time from a standing start

p.s. danny…does anyone in the UK ever talk about the fact that the fastest MRC tuned car quarter mile ever is a B7…on pump gas?

11.41 @ 125.1 is light years ahead of the MRC tuned B5 S4/RS4s that I’ve seen. If you happen to know of any faster times for B5 cars (or any fast times at all) at Santa Pod, please post it up maybe in that B5 quarter mile thread. They’re creating a large quarter mile list here on audirevolution with all platforms on it. Going to be a really cool resource.
