I’ve seen tuning companies come up with all sorts of excuses to explain away not delivering on results and proof of a product. Most popular is ‘clutch can’t handle the power’. I believe I just saw itguy use that one.
Remember when he announced the tune a month or so ago? Remember the other guy said he ran 11.X with the Jfonz tune?
Those guys have vanished. Now we hear he’s stage 2 and doing dyno pulls, but once they’re done and we want some real results, the clutch can’t handle all the power. Sure. So it buys them some time to fuck around.

GIAC stage 2 just went 11.8 @ 118, so that’s a pretty good result if you ask me.
Jfonz will do well I’m sure. If your car blows because of his tune, don’t expect much in the way of insurance etc. since we’re talking about a home business here, but I reckon he’ll get the cars accelerating well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he has the fastest B8 S4. He will write some files that really move the car the fuck out. He has been the only guy to tune the Tial cars to anything that is interesting in the b5 world. His traditional MO has been to throw loads of fuel and timing at the car to do so.
That’s really just about performance mind you…as I said who the fuck knows how safely or how comfortable the cars are wit h his shit on them. But…if someone wants to have a bet for a Coke or a poutine at Cayuga, I would bet Jfonz will produce some pretty serious results here. He likes the dragstrip and what it can prove for the products, and has a good network of customers who will hit the strip. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tony Aiello show up in a B8 S4 at NED soon.
