AutoSpeed has a tune in the works. I wonder if anyone other than quattroworld devotees will buy this.

Of course iPhone nerds might put their car in ASP’s hands thanks to the app. That’s going to be funny.

I can’t see a reason to give money to a company who designed that B6 S4 supercharger kit/engine thumper. PES-esque.

Just saw that… Asked some ?'s about the DSG as they state 6,550 shift limit… not sure where they are getting that as my car shifts at 7K all the time… so are they tuning the TCU also? They are a little late to the game but as you mention I am sure some will buy it…

they are a weird shop that was banned from audiworld (yes, a paying advertiser/shop was BANNED)

they frankly have a terrible reputation except with the quattroworld B5 guys for some reason. I remember posting something about their checkered past and the post got deleted over there. Moderator RAM deleted it. He’s a real joy.

Then I was shown that RAM used to work for ASP lol (he had a RAM@AutoSpeed username on Audiworld). When I called him out on it he claimed it meant nothing and that he just used to help them out and answer the phones etc. Ummm…shitforbrains…you worked for ASP. You had a fucking advertiser account! That’s impartial moderation, isn’t it?

Reminds me of fatzero claiming he doesn’t work for Raven…even though he has posted many times using the @RAVENMS tag on audizine. Was funny when he was pumping the GIAC 91 tune as a 400 whp killer (which we now know is BULLSHIT after a GIAC 91 car ran 12.8-12.9 all day at our dragstrip day April 6th, while REVO and APR 2 cars were running mid-low 12s.) and then accidentally posted under the RAVENMS username…then deleted it…then reposted under fatzero. Unfortunately about 50 people saw it. Then it was revealed RAVEN is a GIAC dealer and fatzero is buddies with Austin from GIAC.

It’s hard to believe this dirty shit goes on.

ASP banned from Audiworld banned from Audizine and not allowed to advertise. Made several tunes that suck, ASP is so fail its painful… ASP has been sued by APR for an attempt to steal tehre switcher programs… ASP is so full of fail. They have been underground for years in hopes of haveing enough turn over in the audi comunity that people wourl forget just how bad they really are.

Turns out they TUNED the car into a crazy throttle body. This isn’t the first car they tuned that never ran right… There B6/7 tunes were known for sucking so bad people forced ASP to give tehr money back.

Marc and I use to hate on each other a lot but most of this is so old its kinda bullshit to even post about. In the b5 hayday they pissed many people off because of big claims and dyno numbers and not much else.

I am pretty sure he had proto type SC stuff years before anyone else, so don’t think there was much stealing of that if that is what is implied above.

As for tunes, I never messed with his stuff as he seemed to just be paying for info from those UK douche bags that run that scene, or better yet did before dys tuning

oh yeah, he had an awesome supercharger kit for the B6…but fucked up the crank pulley and grenaded the motor and kept scratching his head about it…

anyone who has ever seen the B6 crank pulley will know that this one is VERY different. Somehow though…ASP didn’t.

As for ‘this is so old it’s bullshit’ I have to say fuck that. If a company proves to the world that they’re absolutely clueless on tuning and how to build parts that work over and over and over…how on earth can you trust them or endorse them? Why not give PES another shot? How about Motodyne? Those fails were old…let’s give them another shot. i.e. like the kid on audiforum.ca who sent motodyne $600 and his ECU 12 months ago…and hasn’t heard back from them since. Yeah, they’re changed.

Here’s the JHM and stock B6/7 S4 crank pulley. Balancing precision much? JHM invested so much money into designing this part to be perfectly balanced like the OEM part for the 4.2’s externally balanced crank, they will take ages to profit selling them at $350 a piece. This with cashing in on favours even.

Looks like bpp from QW has the pulley and tune… I have asked him and DrGP if they could take some logs and/or hit the strip… Even offered to cover the costs for the strip ;D Hopefully, they will do this… ASP’s website shows a dyno from a 4.2 car… lol

they will go on about how the car isn’t made for the dragstrip, and how ‘if you wanted a drag car, you bought the wrong one’ or ‘if I wanted a drag car, I would go buy a mustang’…and when you explain that the strip offers a great test of performance parts that add straight line speed (which is all a pulley and a tune do) they will then say ‘here’s my dyno sheets’

I posted on Audiworld. Going to be funny to watch those three dance around the dragstrip and point to dyno sheets produce by ASP themselves.

Their B6/7 S4 tuning was a fucking disaster, causing all kidns of problems, and no discernable power advantage on the road (but looked great on their dyno).

just read a thread on quattrofail about ASP. Do people really believe this shit? ASP loves to say their dyno reads crazy low…then they post this.

So…a tune on a supposedly stingy as hell dyno adds 75 whp??? And going from 91 to 93 octane tune adds another 38 whp? Are these people fucking retarded? Did they dyno it stock on 91 and then take octane gains credit? Looks like…on top of who knows what else they recalibrated. So 113 whp gain vs. stock with just a tune. New record. That’s supposedly a 42% gain lol. So if the B8 S4 really makes 333 crank hp, they’re claiming 472 crank hp with just a tune. Newsflash guys…you’re fucking retarded.

Seems the ASP dyno has a stingy button when dynoing stock, but when dynoing their tune, it’s suddenly a generous dyno. That’s impossible though, right? I mean they have never had any controversial dyno selling tactics on their B5 S4 stuff right? ::slight_smile:

I’m really enjoying watching the old guy BPP on quattroworld do his best to pump the ASP tune every chance he gets. I also like how when I asked him point blank if he got the tune/pulley for free in exchange for being a forum advocate, he get really touchy and said it was none of my business. See…if you’re sponsored to promote something, and you hide that fact, you’re a douchebag. Come clean already and put it in your signature that you’re paid to promote the crap on the forums so people will realise that they need to take your comments with a grain of salt. A big bowlilng ball sized chunk of salt, actually.

OH…and for an update,

p.s. since BPP is crying and DR GP and ESFO are yelling at everyone to leave him alone and stop bugging BPP for information/logs/pbox/timeslips, maybe BPP and DR GP should have kept their fucking mouths shut about how great the tune is and dangling fucking carrots about it on every audi forum on earth (especially the ones that ASP is BANNED from).
