But that is YOU making an ASSUMPTION. How do you know what the reason for changing the wheels was? Again, I’m not saying he didn’t change them because of people’s opinions, but you don’t have any proof of that, so I don’t think it’s fair to accuse him of that, no matter how long he’s had them on his car and how coincidental it may seem to you.
Look the bottom line here is, I enjoy this forum, and I like the discourse on here, but there’s no reason to 1. make assumptions about people that you can’t prove and 2. Bring up “dirt” on me in an attempt to try to invalidate anything I say.
I will continue to spectate as I have been doing in the past. It’s clear that you don’t want people playing devil’s advocate on this board.
Lol. But opinions are subjective man. They looked stupid to you. I personally think they looked great in person, better than what he has on there now.
And in that case I am scared as shit to post a pic of my car then, because my new Rotiforms are a bit aggressive fitting. (19x10 front 19x10.5 rear with 275/35 all around). But hey I did just get the JHM tune, I must say, much better than the Unitronic tune. Car is a blast to drive now and no pesky CEL from my chinese downpipes
Here’s a crappy one from instagram. They look great in person but the rears are a bit wide, so I may be switching up again just like tomatoes did. Figured I would post that now just in case I change the wheels and you guys claim I changed them because of your commentary
Haha, yes, I know, the car sits pretty high. It’s my DD though so I’m not really interested in coilovers at the moment. We’ll see. Thanks for the compliment though!
He was running a stretched tire setup and I wasn’t OK with that so we switched my 275/35 over. The wheels fit but there is some rubbing over big dips / bumps.
I am still on the hunt for another set of wheels, these are a temporary summer setup and then I will go back to stock Ti package for the winter.
hard to beat stock. Look perfect, are fairly light, fit perfect and the car is pretty special as is, so there’s no real impetus for change as far as I’m concerned.
Find me some cast wheels in 19x9 ET29 that weigh 26.7 lbs or less and I’ll be impressed. Make them look great and I’ll be even more impressed.
I had a set of 19x10 et29 SNA before this as you probably know. Those fit much better and I really liked them but they got destroyed very easily on these NJ roads.
Yeah for sure. He was a chill guy so I don’t wanna bash him but, I think it was like a 265 rear on 10.5 and 235 front on the 10. I wasn’t having that. Those kind of tires don’t belong on $6k+ wheels. Luckily the wheels fit (barely) with the 275/35 all around and I can run them until the end of the summer. Then I will be on the hunt for OEM ti wheels for the winter.
