Anyone else find Flying Tomatoes' JHM bashing odd?

So we have seen (again) this week that flying tomatoes seems to have made it his mission to cause mayhem in any JHM thread, especially those relating to their supercharger. He routinely casts doubt over JHM, their products, and now is doing his best to go after their customers by trolling their threads. Notable recently in 930chas’ threads about his JHM Stage 1 SC install, and last month in Denis’ sc thread.http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/573078-Loving-my-jhm-stage-1-supercharger!?p=9315088&viewfull=1#post9315088

Anyone else find that odd? Clearly a few of you are wondering the same thing a lot of us were, as a bunch of questions were asked on audizoo whether or not flying tomatoes received some kind of special deal on the Apr kit. There has to be SOMETHING to explain his ridiculous posting.

Lots of qfail guys are also now coming to his defence (BenSTi, jareds941, zmon). The usual suspects playing dumb (deliberately on this occasion…unwittingly other times)

“why does it matter what he paid?”

“who cares what he paid it’s private?”

“how much did you pay for your B8?” (asked of Clochner who asked what FT paid for the kit)

This is why. flyingfatso has been going out of his way to bash APR’s competition (JHM) for MONTHS and people are frankly noticing that he is overtly negative towards the company. Why is that? He says he has JHM parts, yet he hasn’t had any problems or complained. Why does he want to constantly attack and attempt to deride their supercharger kit? Clearly he has motivations other than having a bad day. Or year. When you create an issue by opening your mouth, you come under scrutiny. Did clochner (the one asked what he paid forhis B8 S4) make all kinds of great claims about how great the B8 S4 is and go on a mission to hurt the competition’s reputation on multiple internet forums over a period of months? No he didn’t. Did he get a discount from Audi and feel the need to justify his deal as an angry ant causing issues for Audi’s competitors and their customers? No he didn’t. So in that case, it doesn’t matter what he paid for his B8. But in this case, it DOES matter what Flying Tomatoes paid for his APR supercharger.

Well, thanks to arin from Apr sharing some information, we all learned today he did indeed get a deal on his Apr kit and IS NOT just a regular retail paying customer. He got free install ($2000), free carbon clean ($600-800), free fluid change ($300) and from the looks of it some kind of discount on the kit that they don’t seem to want to disclose.

So here is someone getting a discount worth thousands of dollars in exchange for…the use of his car for photos? Nice deal if you can get it.

It is very reminiscent of ngng who got a deal from VF engineering on their S4 sc kit and went around the forums bashing JHM who were producing a competing kit, in exchange for that discount. The similarities are striking in fact. In that case I don’t think VF told him to do that… He just took it upon himself to try it as it was really his only recourse. The VF kit sucked, and the JHM kit destroyed it. What did he do? Exactly what flying tomatoes has been doing for months.

Raising concerns about non-issues to create negativity towards the kit (the trimming up front for clearance, which everyone else with half a brain can see is nominal and a non issue… Yet flying tomatoes acts as if the car has been split in two. Even funnier still is the fact he on his own car has cut through the firewall to facilitate the install of his coil overs lol. I guess the pursuit of being stancetarded is OK to cut small pieces out for installation fitment. ??? Yes clearly his clearance concerns on the JHM SC kit are a front to scare off buyers.
http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2349.msg64412#msg64412

He is also fond of bumping months old threads where JHM customers had issues with PARTS. Be those issues JHM’s fault or not…his goal was to fill the top page of the forums with negative JHM news, and nothing else.
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/545354-Who-has-the-JHM-light-weight-crank-pulley?p=9137754&viewfull=1#post9137754

All of these were the exact same things ngng tried to do to prop up the VF kit which was outmatched by the JHM kit. It is also reminiscent of mickf29 and his tactics of attacking JHM at every opportunity and blaming them for his own local installer’s many errors, all of which he eventually owned up to and apologised for. Meanwhile behind the scenes he was helping his friend (alleged fraudster BENSTI) launch his new company, creating ripoffs of JHM’s RS4 exhaust.

While the APR kit is certainly a great performer, the pricing gap means it is at a huge disadvantage…enter the negative-JHM-hype machine, aka flying tomato

I sure don’t think APR put him up to this. I want that to be clear. Nor do I think VF really put ngng up to the negative tactics he employed. I think that flying tomatoes, just as ngng did before him, has taken his dedication to his tuner of choice a little too far and is trying a little too hard to thank APR for their thousands of dollars in goodwill.

Fortunately the bright folks on the forums can see through this emptyheaded little flea and his games.

It can hurt a company’s credibility and reputation when you get someone like that as a posterboy for a product, regardless of whether it is company sanctioned/endorsed or not.

I’d have glossed over him commenting about the cutting (public forum, he’s sharing his thoughts, whatever), but then his “eek” post and followups were just too extra.

Yes as I said, he’s not very bright when it comes to street smarts. He doesn’t realise how fucking obvious he is. Check the link above where he was necrobumping an old thread where someone had an issue with a JHM LW Crank Pulley (which was refunded by JHM, and was run on the JHM shop RS4 with NO issues). He did it 3 times…and was the only one posting in the thread for a month. Smoothe move shithead. Nobody is going to notice that one.

Another funny coincidence with this crew? ngng, mickf29, drquattro, and now flying tomatoes? All engineers.

Here’s the reference I made above to Flying Tomatoes’ TOTAL hypocrisy when freaking out about trimming plastic or metal behind the bumper…meanwhile he has Stasis Motorsports on his RS4:

Stasis install guide clearly says you must cut the firewall to route the lines for the Stasis MS suspension in Figure 18…oh noes!

Here’s a better look from Raudidriver’s DIY on AZ. Yes, he said hacksaw your firewall

http://i62.tinypic.com/eaoylt.jpg

…and here is Failing Tomatoes confirming he installed his own…thus hacksawed his own firewall.

Ironic huh? I can’t remember seeing a bigger fucking hypocrite

He has also rolled his fenders, something that would be very obvious to notice without oversized stancetarded wheels. Pretty hypocritical of him to bring up modifications conducted by another RS4 owner. His defense would be “it’s my car and I plan on owning it forever so I will modify it how I please” so what right does he have to establish his concern on how guys with their JHM kit do a little trimming.

FT has a supercharger and is no longer in the market, therefore all of his comments are pathetic excuses to cause fabricated “concerns” over the JHM kit install.

He somehow forgets things like…

JHM has tested this kit for years
JHM has built their brand on the Audi 4.2ls
JHMs kit comes in at a price less than half of APRs kit with the potential for more power
JHM has been the only company to truly devote it’s time and money to the B7 RS4, but somehow FT can only question their products integrity and installation. Usually people embrace companies that give a shit about their customers but maybe I would align myself with the company that “paid” me the most too.

Wait, what?

I hereby revoke their degrees and excommunicate them.

haha it’s just a weird coincidence. I think it explains some of their dogged determinedness though.

LOL at the reaction from purpleheartrs4 in the Azoo thread. It really is funny when you compare that forum with AR. Ask for a few facts and you get flamed on by most everyone. Reminds me why I stopped posting there.

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/570903-First-time-ever-at-the-drag-strip-and-I-think-I-hurt-some-peoples-feelings-(GO-APR)?p=9472395&viewfull=1#post9472395

Purpleheart just bought a 90k plus RS4 from Rochester, NY. How do I know? I test drove it. It had tons of little issues and wasn’t in the best shape, but it was listed for $32k or so…so if he was a smart buyer he could have possibly got a deal. He is new so he knows nothing about certain members. He probably doesn’t even know where his battery is located.

I’m more interested in his username than his opinion. He seems like a kid going to college with parents that have a little money, but PurpleHeart means only one thing to a guy like me and other veterans. Normally it isn’t something you advertise unless you got it for having an ear drum blown out while sitting on a picnic table eating a cheeseburger from Burger King…in Iraq.

Yeah, I don’t think these guys know the big picture. They think ‘he is just giving his opinion’. They don’t realise the systematic program of competition bashing that APR’s newest marketing maven has been putting in place for the past 6 months. That’s why I created this thread, with quotes, screenshots and links so people can see the background. Most just think he is being slammed because of his 1 or 2 comments this week. Not at all.

That’s pretty funny. I thought the username was weird too. I know a couple of people who ‘qualify’ for that username, and they downplay THE FUCK out of it.

The thing I found funniest today was flying tomatoes posting his PM exchange with 930chas

Reality? That was probably the 3rd or 4th attempt to explain the belt situation to flying fuckwad. 930chas said he reached out via PM. I don’t imagine he reached out that way. That looks like what happens when you’re fed up with someone.

I really hope the moderators take note of this idiot. Hell I got infractions for destroying B5 losers who came to our forum to troll. This motherfucker is trolling people in his own platform’s forum…and attempting to ruin the repuation of one of the most respected Audi tuning companies on earth…also a big sponsor over there. I wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes doing what he did lol. I got ‘terminated’ for point out that APR were lying about getting help with the tune on the 1320 kit. Something they put in fucking writing! All i did was quote Keith’s own press release and ask him why he was now denying it lol.

I think ChrisK said it best:

Also, I laughed when I got the “you don’t know what you’re talking about because you don’t drive an RS4” comment. That’s what the B8 guys always used to say when a member from another platform said anything. Pretty funny.

euro - good point on purpleheart’s username. if he wasn’t a recipient, then that is REALLY bad form.

Edit: nevermind - think i misinterpreted that post.

That’s a version of intellectual submission. That’s their way of tapping out.

If you are raising an easily shot down point of discussion, people will easily shoot your point down, and move on. If you are asking a tough question, and they have no recourse, they will attempt to discredit you in another way. The RS4 guys love to use that ‘you don’t even own an RS4 thus you don’t know anything’ when they’re cornered. It’s pretty funny, but it works because lots of really dumb RS4 owners see that and jump in and throw a few kicks at you while you’re outnumbered because they feel some club membership affinity for their RS4 brethren.

Just shows yo uwho is weak, and who is strong.

Even badbluejabroni made his way into the thread with a stupid picture and comment.

Very stupid. He is acting like flying tomatores barely said anything. Of course we know thanks to their instagram feed that they’re butt buddies, so as I mentioned above, he’s just another of the Qfail retards trying to support flying tomatoes whose credibility frankly, is shit.

Extra stupid post because flying tomatoes had made half a dozen troll posts in that thread, not one.

So I actually underestimated the $$ amount in savings that FT received. According to Arin, it was free install and carbon clean (plus, I assume, shipping). But Arin didn’t mention anything about a hardware discount. That’s weird, because according to zmon:
purple heart “golf clap” well said.

BTW I am jealous at the discount FT got on that kit. it wont be had for that number for years, if ever hehehe

Edit: to be clear im not privy to the actual cost… just got teased it was good. PM potatoes he will do the same for you.

There she is, the AR integrity policewomen.

Lol agreed
