So we have seen (again) this week that flying tomatoes seems to have made it his mission to cause mayhem in any JHM thread, especially those relating to their supercharger. He routinely casts doubt over JHM, their products, and now is doing his best to go after their customers by trolling their threads. Notable recently in 930chas’ threads about his JHM Stage 1 SC install, and last month in Denis’ sc thread.http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/573078-Loving-my-jhm-stage-1-supercharger!?p=9315088&viewfull=1#post9315088
Anyone else find that odd? Clearly a few of you are wondering the same thing a lot of us were, as a bunch of questions were asked on audizoo whether or not flying tomatoes received some kind of special deal on the Apr kit. There has to be SOMETHING to explain his ridiculous posting.
Lots of qfail guys are also now coming to his defence (BenSTi, jareds941, zmon). The usual suspects playing dumb (deliberately on this occasion…unwittingly other times)
“why does it matter what he paid?”
“who cares what he paid it’s private?”
“how much did you pay for your B8?” (asked of Clochner who asked what FT paid for the kit)
This is why. flyingfatso has been going out of his way to bash APR’s competition (JHM) for MONTHS and people are frankly noticing that he is overtly negative towards the company. Why is that? He says he has JHM parts, yet he hasn’t had any problems or complained. Why does he want to constantly attack and attempt to deride their supercharger kit? Clearly he has motivations other than having a bad day. Or year. When you create an issue by opening your mouth, you come under scrutiny. Did clochner (the one asked what he paid forhis B8 S4) make all kinds of great claims about how great the B8 S4 is and go on a mission to hurt the competition’s reputation on multiple internet forums over a period of months? No he didn’t. Did he get a discount from Audi and feel the need to justify his deal as an angry ant causing issues for Audi’s competitors and their customers? No he didn’t. So in that case, it doesn’t matter what he paid for his B8. But in this case, it DOES matter what Flying Tomatoes paid for his APR supercharger.
Well, thanks to arin from Apr sharing some information, we all learned today he did indeed get a deal on his Apr kit and IS NOT just a regular retail paying customer. He got free install ($2000), free carbon clean ($600-800), free fluid change ($300) and from the looks of it some kind of discount on the kit that they don’t seem to want to disclose.

So here is someone getting a discount worth thousands of dollars in exchange for…the use of his car for photos? Nice deal if you can get it.
It is very reminiscent of ngng who got a deal from VF engineering on their S4 sc kit and went around the forums bashing JHM who were producing a competing kit, in exchange for that discount. The similarities are striking in fact. In that case I don’t think VF told him to do that… He just took it upon himself to try it as it was really his only recourse. The VF kit sucked, and the JHM kit destroyed it. What did he do? Exactly what flying tomatoes has been doing for months.
Raising concerns about non-issues to create negativity towards the kit (the trimming up front for clearance, which everyone else with half a brain can see is nominal and a non issue… Yet flying tomatoes acts as if the car has been split in two. Even funnier still is the fact he on his own car has cut through the firewall to facilitate the install of his coil overs lol. I guess the pursuit of being stancetarded is OK to cut small pieces out for installation fitment. ??? Yes clearly his clearance concerns on the JHM SC kit are a front to scare off buyers.

He is also fond of bumping months old threads where JHM customers had issues with PARTS. Be those issues JHM’s fault or not…his goal was to fill the top page of the forums with negative JHM news, and nothing else.

All of these were the exact same things ngng tried to do to prop up the VF kit which was outmatched by the JHM kit. It is also reminiscent of mickf29 and his tactics of attacking JHM at every opportunity and blaming them for his own local installer’s many errors, all of which he eventually owned up to and apologised for. Meanwhile behind the scenes he was helping his friend (alleged fraudster BENSTI) launch his new company, creating ripoffs of JHM’s RS4 exhaust.
While the APR kit is certainly a great performer, the pricing gap means it is at a huge disadvantage…enter the negative-JHM-hype machine, aka flying tomato
I sure don’t think APR put him up to this. I want that to be clear. Nor do I think VF really put ngng up to the negative tactics he employed. I think that flying tomatoes, just as ngng did before him, has taken his dedication to his tuner of choice a little too far and is trying a little too hard to thank APR for their thousands of dollars in goodwill.
Fortunately the bright folks on the forums can see through this emptyheaded little flea and his games.
