Maybe I’m just slow, but I don’t see any point to your comment? I say there’s no reason to post personal info about people unless they are scamming someone and you argue that people are getting robbed blah blah blah. What does any of that have to do with a justification of posting personal info about someone who has some sort of disagreement with you?

What’s this in reference to? FT’s personal info was posted by someone here?
Saki and some of the other guys are notorious for posting personal info. One guy even used my company website pic as his forum avatar like it was suppose to make me mad or something. Saki then proceeded to talk about how long my business has been open yada.lol None of that stuff has any relevance to an Audi forum. People here seem to think it does but it’s petty, childish, and annoying.
it’s true, we are petty childish and annoying. I try to avoid that though, and if people ask for something taken down, whether it was posted by me or someone else, I try to help them get it removed.
However, I have some advice: If you don’t want your personal information on the internet…don’t put it on the internet.
If you don’t want everyone to know your name, don’t make your username YOUR REAL NAME! lol
Same goes for your youtube account. Don’t post a video of your car and say ‘check out this vid of my car!’ with your full name as your youtube username, and then wonder why when you act like a fool, someone references your lame ass.
If you don’t want to have people talking about your real name and you street racing…DON’T POST IT ON THE INTERNET/FORUM!
I only remember two guys who’s personal info was posted (and I very well may be wrong but I don’t remember them, I’m sure daytona will take great pleasure in refreshing my memory).
Anyway, the two in question that I remember are BenSTI (known and proven scam artist, outed even by his own ex business partner) and that Mario guy with the PES whipple blower who’s still, somehow, allowed to post on AZ even though he was caught red handed for having multiple accounts and there’s countless threads on countless other boards (also providing personal info) outing his scams.
But ultimately, all of this info is readily available on the internet via some google searching. No one here uses back door tactics, private investigator methods, accessing police records, etc. to out people. It’s just a collection of internet info into a single spot. People feel they’re so anonymous on the internet and because of that, feel free to spew lies, thus hurting real people and their real lives. Sometimes, outing them by using their personal info (that’s available online) to bring things back to earth (instead of the digital world), causes people to rethink their actions. And furthermore, in the digital world, it’s easy to “recreate” yourself. Create a new account and you now have a new persona (like that Mario guy). Having personal info posted shows that it’s the same guy all along.
You guys are continuing to miss the point. I don’t care about my info being on the internet. I have a business and advertise so of course my info will be out there. But there is no excuse for anyone throwing a hissy fit bc of an argument, and then reposting all that “public info” on this forum or any other. It proves nothing and does nothing aside from just being annoying. What business I run has no relation to what car I drive. I don’t go to my business talking about my RS4, and therefore I don’t expect to be somewhere talking about my RS4 and have my business brought into it. You all don’t understand and clearly never will so I can respect that. Enjoy ur forum!
You kinda brought that all on yourself if you can recall the situation correctly. You were on an elitsit pedestal speaking of your success in business, education, car choices, and bascially how you were so much better than everyone here. Remember U of Penn? I believe it was also somehow linked to your claims that you broke in your clutch before a track day in a week, when truthfully you lived a stones throw away from your office. It would have been almost impossible to do as much “true” city driving in a week that you claimed.
That is neither here nor there, the point is if you werent being a fool to begin with, no one would give a shit who you were.
This will be my last post. But you are highlighting a great example. Another situation where you all made assumptions about what I did or did not do in putting the 1200 miles on my car prior to going to the track. If a clutch is not broken in properly it leads to incorrect wear and is very easy to determine. There was nothing wrong with my clutch disc per the JHM inspection which is why that component was sent back to me for install. You all make things up to the point you actually think it’s true. I was giving 1 example of personal info being used and there any MANY from the crew here. I’m sure you can always come up with another excuse as to why it’s ok, but that’s the reason many choose not to participate here.
…and from what I’ve seen, there is absolutely no worthy technical discussions outside of here so if they don’t want to join here…I highly doubt AR is missing out, they would be the ones missing great information across all platforms.
Well, which is it? I know you said that was your last post but now you’re just dancing.
First you accuse AR of making shit up which not true. Sometimes, things mentioned are wrong due to insufficient or wrong information that was provided and it’s therefore rectified.
Then the problem is that AR sometimes posts personal info of forum users (which you say is ok for scammers but not for others, I guess you’re the voice of reason and authoritative judge for the rest of the community and speak on their behalf)
Then you go back to saying it’s due to mis-information and then it’s personal info being posted again.
Make up your mind…
Oh, and notice all the technical threads that are amongst ourselves? Us AR users. Do you see us making shit up amongst ourselves? No. Also, do you see us joining other threads on other forums to troll them? No, we don’t start shit. We just add fuel to the fire when the lie detectors go off. Yes, we have a few mocking threads but they’re far and few between and they’re always about the same people. The ones that by now, everyone knows are scammers or trollers/lying shit disturbers.
I think that was Gibson’s 4th different ‘last post’ here.
The funny thing is they’ll whine that we drive out members, but when I make a post offering an olive branch of sorts, as I did on the last page, they disappear.
Their agenda is not to learn or better the platform. Their agenda is just to continue causing trouble and remain cliquish.
My 2cents, fact, AR, AZ, QW etc are all public forums. If you choose to register you need to understand the responsibility and risk that comes with it. If you decide to post, comment, reply or call someone out etc. then also accept that by default you are open to the same scrutiny and the possible risk of Peeeing someone off. If you post blatant BS then please understand the risk and consequences of possibly being exposed. Bottom-line, when in Rome do like the Romans and don’t try and to convert them to from wherever you are from. :
I have registered on both AR & AZ and follow RS246 as well. Mainly because I own an RS4 and have lots to learn and I just love the RS4 for what it is, one awesome machine, period. Seen some amazing cars on all these forums but also a lot of bullshit. I guess what I am trying to say is that ultimately it’s up to each one to decide what is fact and what is fiction. Just don’t get it why some people always have to spill their guts if they don’t like a forum, shut-up and leave, quietly, no-one cares, really!
Looks like he was too terrified to sign up here so he got his bosses at apr and sycophants like zmon to beg for his e-life. I’m sure he will be done soon. He’s too stupid.
