Anyone else know Shell racing fuels are discontinued?

Interesting news, had no idea.

Ryan,

Check your pms on audizine.

Yes I knew shell was discontinued as I emailed them to inquire. After discovering they were discontinued I was redirected to http://www.fusefuel.com and I have 10 gallons of their 116 octane in my garage.

Good to see another supplier coming out with some high octane, no ethanol, non-oxygenated fuels.

Is there a maximum amount of high octane fuel (meaning regulated by law or something) a general consumer can purchase at one time or store in a residential area?

Just curious. Wondering if there are any kind of regulations on that.

Yeah, I was aware… shame really but this looks promising… I’ll send an email and hopefully someone local to me will be a dealer… Wonder what a pail will cost… I had awesome pricing on URT…

I picked up 5 gallons of the Fuse 116 for around same price as MS109

Nice! So you have a local dealer? I emailed and inquired so we will see what they say…

Localish,

About a 40 minute drive, on the way to my normal St Thomas track however.

I will be doing some testing with it shortly. I have high hopes.

Nice! Keep us posted…

Just curious, but do you guys feel the difference when going with these high performance race feels when your driving the car…say PT do you feel it in the seat from your 100 octane to urt

Where from?

How much jones? Profuels here is expensive for 110.

Shell contacted us a long while back when the URT fuels first came out. The deal was free fuel for examples of URT with our calibrations, or URT specific calibrations. I was excited; URT seemed to offer the highest unleaded octane around so it was worth a shot. Numerous communication back and forth and it never went anywhere.

Oh well I guess. We’ll stick the the Sunoco fuels. The 260 GT is the base for all of our 100 calibrations. 260 GT Plus is the base for our 104 calibrations and 260 GTX is what we use for our 98.5 race car spec fuel calibrations. It’s very consistent and widely available at the pump or at road courses around the country.

Good to know Arin

Didn’t know you could get > 93 gas at the pump. Will keep an eye out next time I’m at a shell station in MI

Yes.

When I was in Cali recently I got some 100 octane to help out the chappy 91 pisswater. The engine ran noticeably smoother and I was spinning the tires all over the place.

You shoulda just took some moonshine out there with you to add to the tank…lol

Only certain stations do it. One around me has Sunoco 100 on pump but I don’t have program switching so I never get to really utilize it…

Prime… here is the Shell URT replacement. similar stoich/etc.
