So car runs perfect but for some reason getting p2007 intake runner stuck closed bank 2 implausible signal / upper limit exceeded which gives an obnoxious engine light. I have loosened the manifold checked flap movement, wires, new position sensors, position sensor spacers, failed 142 adaption, still get code. So I took the flap motor off and opened it up. There are 3 locating magnet dowels internally on the gear, when I first opened it 2 were directly next to each other one slightly leaning on the other. Also looked like it moved inside the track to where it was. Has anyone ever opened one and or has pictures of the internals to verify these pin locations? Also where are people buying these it seems like they do not manufactured them anymore.
So my problem had nothing to do with components. I took the manifold off in December I ended up depinning all the knock sensors to fix cracks in all the wires right at the back of the plug and for whatever reason I must have depinned bank 2 potentiometer plug to inspect the wires while right there. It seems as though I reconnected it with the connector facing the wrong direction resulting in pin 3 (ground) having the .5v pin 1 should have… good times.
For future reference for people as these are no longer manufactured abundantly, both upper and lower actuator motors are the exact same, the only difference is the arm installed on it. It is possible to crack them open. Once there facing the gear side, with a straight pick push the center locking dowel out, you can then push the tabs inward and push the entire arm assembly off them and change them out.
They changed the harness connector for knock sensors, had to replace them when I repinned mine. They changed the colors too. Thank god I didnt pin it wrong. All 4…
Never opened up the sensor but nice to see its somewhat servicable. Have a spare/old manifold throws same codes but otherwise perfect. Dropped new OEM 3K manifold in no codes. LOL
JHM tune deletes the cold start air pump and CEL for the flaps FYI.
