Anyone ever used this fuel?

Anyone ever tried this race gas? Arin from APR pointed it out to me so I ordered some and will have it Friday… Local distributor said if I like it he will stock it for me but I had to cover freight this time… Will do some logs with Sunoco GT260, MS109, and this and see how timing and such look…

Any thoughts?

have not used this fuel, but researched a lot about it recently. sounds like everyone that uses it likes it. supposedly the stoichs are the same as pump gas… does APR tune their 100oct map to a specific stoich ratio?

what are the ron and mon ratings?

RON = 115
MON = 105

105 (being more important) is pretty high. For perspective my pump gas, which is maybe the hottest pump gas on this continent, is only 88 MON

Swanky, Not sure on the tuning ?

Saki, Yeah it is very good… For reference the Sunoco GT260 I use is 95 and MS109 is 101… Also, the fuel contains no oxygen… Will see how the car runs with it and how it logs…

You mean it contains no MTBE or other oxygenator, this makes it safer for certain types of fuel injectors. I have a friend who swears by it, picked up some extra timing in the ECU with no other changes but MS109 to Shell Advanced

Correct, sorry… Yeah I am pretty excited as well… I don’t see much timing pull now but this should eliminate it and hopefully give me a little more… Good to know your buddy is happy with it… Is he running a FI car?

Very interested in the results, would also love to find a supplier that could at least ground ship the small barrels. Easy access to race fuel in Vancouver is almost non existent.

Primetime,

What is the price point you are getting this? ($/gal)

Sure is, 1.8 punched to 2L with a large turbo. He was pinging on a bit with MS109, changed to Shell Advanced and got rid of the ping and started running CF’s near 0

Used this several times in my drag car. Makes a noticeable difference. FI apps will see better results then N/A Apps. Its great at pulling heat out. You should be able to get better results on a 90deg day then you would with normal race gas. When the temps drop below say 60s its not as big of a difference in say over 109
