If they give you a credit for tune and CPS that’s not what the poll was about

CPS is $2500…software is $1500. Pulley was $500. That’s $4500. If you go stage III you’re buying the whole kit.

So your $8000 guess is really a $12,500 guess

The poll is how much for the stage III Kit. If you’re buying it in bits and pieces then paying for the rest in the kit, you still have to pay the $12,500 (or whatever).

p.s. i don’t think they’ll give you full credit for tune and pulley and CPS. So if the kit for a stock B8 S4 costs $12,500, I don’t think it will be $8,000 for a guy with stage II and CPS. I think you will get credit…but not $1 for $1 credit. It might be $9500 for example if you already have CPS and tune and pulley etc.

Just spoke to a rep from one of APR’s dealers here in Chicago. He was at APR’s conference over the weekend and said that the charger would be somewhere between $5k and $10k. Didn’t mention whether that includes CPS. Take that for what it’s worth . . .

I still think the entire kit, CPS included, will be well north of $10k.

A little birdie said they have a DSG tune brewing. Not sure if serious.

I would be very interested in that.

These cars are going to get some crazy quarter mile times with stage 3 on racegas and a DSG tune. Cant wait.

Engine speed and pulley size alone doesn’t really matter. What matters is the relationship between the two as this will determine how fast the supercharger spins at any given RPM. I’m not sure why you would want to run up to 8500 RPM anyways. DI platforms become increasingly limited at higher RPMs as the window to inject fuel becomes increasingly smaller. I would chose a lower RPM, smaller pulley, and more torque across the power band.

Because he is a skreet racing fool who thinks if your motor can spin 10k RPMs it will be faster than anything on the skreets. He must have came from the VTEC civic world IMHO. He can’t grasp the concept of a power band and how important it is to stay in said power band…regardless of where your redline is.

Hamm…wasn’t it about a month ago when I made that exact prediction and you all jumped all over my nuts for such a prediction? ;D

Your right, Best conditions is about 100hp gain, and A little birdie also told me $6-$7k. Leaning towards $7k. I’ll pass.
