I hate when that happens. Happened last year to a b8 guy who came to my house to do some vagcom stuff and to log his car. “I will send you the logs” I told him. Only to find blank columns.

I’m sure you know this but once in a while the data is WAAAAAAAAY down. Have a quick look. I don’t mean after the idling data. Sometimes there is no data for like four hundred rows, then it starts. No idea why.

So yes, my car never shifts into 5th by the end of the quarter, as the top of 4th is now around 121mph. I am having boost issues as I see in every single one of my logs, I have sent them off to GIAC to have a look at. I am having trouble hitting 16-16.5 psi in every gear! Should be 17 no problem in the weather we had, 18 ideally or more!
I feel this is the single biggest crutch in my car, as my timing is slightly higher than Ron’s. 2 lbs of boost is a big difference up top. Car has more.
Congrats to APR for making a solid tune! I hope GIAC can figure out my boost issues.
Also Ron, I do not have LW rears.
APR had these problems (or similar ones) early on, but eventually got them sorted.
The B8 is a PITA to tune it seems. Lots of little oddities.

Meth is not for race gas. Meth is to run race tune on pump gas. No point in messing up fuel trims wen already running high octane fuel. Maybe for cooling, but it was cold and I am rocking the AWE cooling system.
Headers def a disappointment.
DSG tune should help if boost issues are fixed as it keeps the motor higher in the rev rang which as we know is where our cars continue to make power.
Need to fix boost issues.

edit: oh snap, it was your first pass in the 11s. Congrats. 11.82 is nuts.
No doubt about the issues APR had with this same problem, if GIAC can get it fixed I should be 11.5.

11.5 is def not gonna be easy to reach, but hopefully we can get there eventually… My dads car is going back in addition to mine in a week or two…

So 10 B8 S4s in the 11s. You guys have just FLOWN by the B6/7 platforms for volume. There are 2 B6/7 S4s in the 11s, and 7 B7 Rs4s…but it took the better part of 9 years since the B6 launched (and 6 years since the RS4). The B8 S4 has done this in basically 4 years.

My time posted launch control was used, I did not use launch control this past weekend so that me and Ron were even using same technique.

Launch control on GIAC tcu tune net me a 1.6x 60’ every time on the weekend I used it. It is very good and consistent.
