Its been asked a few times so I thought I would list what we have an my thoughts.
Having tested the ECU and TCU tunes from JHM I would say thats the must start after making sure your maintenance stuff is up to speed
What is the order on how to add parts to make our 3.0s fast.
To start maintenance
To start make sure to update This is the first thing then “” “”
your coil packs.
check and update your spark plugs
Your fuel filter
Check all your vac lines. Its a mess but you will find several that are cracked or bad
Then Performance
The JHM tune. Start there even if your car is stock or modified it wakes up the car like no other tune.
If you have a Autobot get the JHM TCU file. You will be shocked at how much better it is then stock
The Catless or Hogpipes get that cat out of there. BIG gains to be had there next.
The Catback. No sense in doing this before the Dps the cats are so restrictive it would be pointless
Intake spacers are a good idea to help keep the incoming air temps in check
Right now we know this combination is good enough to put some good distance between you and the best running Stage 2++ 1.8T cars. This combination adds a real night and day difference to the car.
NON proven 3.0 parts but performance parts that are in the works or are coming
L/W rims. Always a big hit and they really help the acceleration
L/W Rotors. I have yet to find any but JHM said they have a solution coming so IM looking for that.
Remove the spare tire. I would put the tire back in on long trips but the 50some lbs it weighs enough to impact fuel consumption and performance
We can always add to this list when things come out.
