Audi on Demand

There’s a concierge service called Audi on Demand that they’re piloting in San Francisco. You reserve a car from your smart phone and they drop it off at your house. They do a 30 minute product tour with you and pair your phone to the wifi and bluetooth. It’s basically a showroom quality car. They check you in on an ipad and take a photo of your driver’s license, and a walk around video of the car to show it has no damage. No taxes or fees are added to the bill. They refill it with gas for you at market rate ($3 a gallon still here).

I took an Allroad up to Lake Tahoe for $388 for 2 days. I’m going to try an S6 or RS7 at some point.

That is pretty sweet. To take this idea further, perhaps if you wanted to purchase this exact car your rental price/fare would go toward the purchase price?

Then maybe take this out of trunk clubs playbook…if someone didn’t return in XX days then the car would be considered sold to that user

That looks pretty cool.

Pretty cool, they’ve definitely got the right market to start it in. Keep us posted!

Wow that’s amazing. I hope this comes to Canada.

Now what happens when some aftermarket upgraded guy rents an RS7 or an R8 to benchmark his car…

Like “Weeeeeuuu!! I can almost keep up with an R8!” Hahaha

I’m going to rent the new Audi Q7 this summer for a road trip. Will be interesting to try the digital cockpit for a few days and see if it helps or gets in the way. Personnally I am not a fan of other manufacturers HUD systems as a way of expressing denser data for the driver, so I’m hoping this is good.

It’s $300 a day. The car is usually loaded. They drop it off ar your house and pick it up, and will refill it with gas for you at market price.

That sounds like fun. Is it unlimited miles for 300 a day. What motors can you still get in the Q7 can you still get the 4.2 or is the best you can get the 3.0t

Unlimited miles. 3.0T. They will likely have an SQ7 at a $450 a day price point, when it’s out.

WOW unlimited miles is a great deal when you think about it. A SQ7 for 450 a day isnt too bad. Its the electronic turbo turbo charged V8 diesel.

Interesting motor on the SQ7… I wonder if the tranny will have decent tow capability.

How much will the sq7 be? Will be surprised if they dont carry motor over to the cayenne if they did I would buy.

80k or more?
