Just picked up the rear diff and axles cleaning painting then going in!
Not many people have 1 piece driveshafts on their S4’s, but the only unbiased report that I saw from someone who doesn’t sell them was that he was bummed because it caused some new vibes at speed.
Hurray… It was the rear diff the car is buttery smooth now!!!
Nice. Meaning it was the source of the vibes?
Correct…
When we replaced the rear diff the vibration went away to nothing and now the car runs like a dream…Now to find the electrical draw!
that’s the BEST!
great news!
Now pulling the diff back out and steam cleaning it, scuffing it, repainting it and reacking all the grease points with fresh syth grease and ams-oil diff lube…Going to rebuild the oil one and try to make it a little stonger!
Also refinishing up the RS4 wheels today…here is the big question stay with stock silver or go to a metallic grey?
gunmetal grey
gunmetal
B5 RS4 wheels in gunmetal with yellow and blacked out ttrim/grill would be cool
i am thinking gunmetal
of course then you’ll want to black out your window trim etc.
slippery slope

That Imola B5 RS makes me all fuzzy inside.
It is a hot car for sure.
I would love to make my car like that!
Hunter i think you should keep your car the way it is. Looks like you got all the shades of Imola on that thing. Maybe it is collectable.
Hahahah
Imola Harlequin edition lol.
