Man i wish i could get my hands on this setup.
Anybody know anything about this or know where this could be purchased?
Thorttle response and HP gains would be awesome im sure.
You loose all kinds of TQ and the driveability would be terrible due to the fact you would have no MAF.
True but there could be a way to program the ECU for the mafs. Or even a 3d printer made air filter piece that connects to each TB (5 into 1) on each side.lol could be done. Will I do it ? Maybe. I gotta friend that works at HP that uses a 3d printer all day. I would design a blueprint with all the measurements. I work in R&D at HP. I’m an r&d freak.
That engine with the itbs is setup for use on a car that weighs half of what the S6 does. If your plan is to remove the engine from your S6 and drop it in a tube frame track car, then go for it and give KMS a call.
You should be comparing posted torque curves on other sites for engines with and without itbs. They do not have to be audi v10s as long as the before and after are the same engine.
You say you are into R&D. You have created four separate threads that are all related to the same end result. I believe you would get a lot more informed replies with a single thread if you post what your goal is, what research you have done so far, what your planned strategy is to accomplish your goal and what areas of concern you have.
ever heard of NO2? lol the s6 could be a track car. instant torque on an AWD car.
think outside the box.
I will make a seperate post of all the things i wish to do to this car in the near future(just for you :). this valve issue that i had started all this “what if” and im glad it did. I have 2 other cars to drive( a 2003 Cayenne S and a 2009 jag XF SPRCHGD) so im good with the longevity of the project.
ITB’s sound amazing, full stop. I couldn’t imagine what my car would sound like with em! I’d almost happily live with that loss of torque for that gain in sound!
…except now I’ve got a brand new fully functional intake.
FYI, I ITB’d a VQ35 in the past and didn’t really notice a huge loss of torque. The sound was glorious. Of course I was fully tuned with a supporting cam swap as well that probably helped offset it, so YMMV
You can but it from the source of the video https://www.vankronenburg.nl
The ITB setup requires a stand-alone ECU according to them. I can imagine that turning into a slippery slope. Godspeed to us all. Prayers to the gods of reliability.
