Anyone have this happen to them? I am taking it back to the dealer but curious if anyone has encountered this. It says “stability control fault” when I do a code scan via carista. It no longer vectors torque. I just tried now with esc fully off and no dice. Sad face. Fwiw there is no leaking dff fluid, and no constant error light on the dash. But the diff definitely doesn’t vector torque anymore. It’s fully open all of the time
No idea drop… Thought it was just some glitch… Need to need to investigate deeper… Read something g to that respect once but can’t remember exactly… Old age dam it… Hahaha
There should be more codes that went with it. Is it an electronic actuated diff right. If you can post the full code that might tell us more. That is odd tho. As these cars start to get older it looks like we will be finding more and more of these bugs. What year is your car
Just did an auto scan and it showed up again. I copied and saved will post it.
I also did a little blast thru second but stupid me touched a button on computer and lost that log lol. Wanted to see CPS cooling efficiency and if any to I g got pulled but it’s not to be… DA’s here tonight in the 1800’s and humid…perfect conditions…
My car is a 2015.
FWIW some genius dumped coolant all over the track and didn’t pull off immediately, so i did spin out on some coolant and have an off. But not sure this would affect anything.
That sucks. It’s one of the most dangerous situations I think you can get into in a typical HPDE. One of the reasons I like running with Audi club is 90% of attendees have a car that is less than 5 years old. The last 3 times coolant has been dropped it has been some e36 or e46 BMW, hand wrenched by some moron who’s too good to get help.

No corner workers on this track lol. It was a horrible track day. They also let him continue on for another full lap before flagging him. Smh. Anyway I am at the dealer now. Update: they scanned it and found no faults or codes. Carista interestingly makes my dash board show “stability control fault” whenit does diagnostics…but the dealer cannot reproduce this. They also say no issue with diff. I will just drive harder and determine if that’s true :D. I wonder how long the clutch packs last in the diff?
The “stability control fault” popping up momentarily during the scan is normal (VCDS or Carista, or whatever…). It does that when it scans that module.
Oh lol that makes sense then. Anyway, since Audi reset my ecu, the diff vectors again. Car rotates a lot on the throttle. All is well! Thanks all for your input
