Well since were on the topic of AZ… Here is why I don’t frequent the site anymore in case anyone cares… LOL

Alex from Europrice showed a set of paddles that he was selling for the every day low price of $675 + shipping… When I questioned the pricing I was told there was a lot of work into them, there carbon fiber, yada yada… whatever they are two damn paddles with sticky tape to hold them on… So I showed them to my brother and he was like heck I could make them out of aluminum and if people want colors we will anodize them…

A little time goes by and I posted a prototype and put a feeler out there to see if I should make one set for me or a few for others… Well I got about 15-20 I wants within a few days… I then get an infraction as I was told there was a vendor complaint about me running a group by when I wasn’t authorized… My post was also deleted… I replied with an apology and said I wouldn’t make any additional references to selling them…

So my brother finishes them and I post some installed pics… No mention of selling but about a week later the post gets erased and I get another infraction stating that there was a vendor complaint and that selling them was implied based on posting pictures and my previous post… Sigh… OK… I send them a PM and said fine I won’t ever mention them again…

So I contacted people on AW and via email and sold a bunch then pictures from members started to pop up on AZ which pissed said vendor and AZ management or whatever they call themselves off… So then I get an email from Todd at AWE asking why I am not getting back to him… I’m like I didn’t know you were trying to get a hold of me, well AZ took it upon them to log in and read/delete my pm’s most of which had nothing to do with paddles! So I inquired and Blake told me that they were planning to ban me and basically, I need to quit selling the paddles on other sites or that they were going to ban me… F*** you, you can control me on your site but not others… So I made an announcement in my dyno thread that I was leaving because I wasn’t wanted by management there and that there was a vendor complaint…

Well this set some folks on the forum off since I think most people enjoyed me sharing my work and experiences on the platform so AZ went into damage control mode and basically denied it and said there weren’t complaints and that they weren’t going to ban me… Yeah OK I made this entire story up because I am bored and have nothing better to do… Bottom line is they don’t like when us non paying members actually help each other as it takes money out of their advertiser’s pockets… To date I have sold over 20 pairs of paddles at a price that is more than 5 times lower than Alex’s price and haven’t had one complaint from a enthusiast… Now they can use the $500+ they saved and buy some more parts… Kinds of sad but us users don’t pay the bills on AZ… Sorry for the long rant but I figured I would share… Wait until I have some performance parts for the B8 motor, will see how that goes over! LOL

^their loss really, I guess I missed all of that when it happened but it doesnt surprise me. What kills me about the situation is that other members get away with overtly advertising selling stuff, like the guy who does the LEDs in the B7 headlights… but I bet since there is no vendor making a similar product there is no issue at all, shows the priority.

Post some pictures here, I’d be interested in seeing how they came out.

holy shit…that’s extra pathetic. I thought they just gave you an infraction for tryint to sell the things…but I didn’t think that you got an infraction/ban threat/PM invasion. That’s so awful.

I mean you were posting on Audiworld, and getting shit for it on Audizine? Is that a joke???

Further, by that rationale, nobody is allowed to talk about or post about ANY product that is not bought/sold through Audizine official sponsors. I mean your second post where you showed the parts off…all you did was show the fucking things, not solicit orders for a group buy. What if you bought a REVO tune, and REVO isn’t an Audizine advertiser…does that mean you’re not allowed to post your quarter mile timeslips???

That whole site is sickening now. A good portion of the crew of moderators are weirdos too. Power hungry sycophants all scrambling to protect Anthony’s money…when they’re UNPAID VOLUNTEERS. You’re a fucking moderator on a car website. These are the guys (the ones who go too far) who don’t make it to the police force and end up as mall security guards…and let that sliver of power go straight to their heads. I guess that’s why I was a shitty moderator. I chose instead to mix it up in the forums, rather than threaten people with gay infractions lol. What a laugh.

Saki, Yeah… that is why it upset me so much… My wife told me to pay the vendor fee and tell Alex to shove it up his ass but we aren’t getting rich off these so I figured I would make a few batches and call it a day and just not post on AZ… I’m over it but it’s been long enough so I figured I would tell the whole story here so everyone knows… I do admit I view posts over there but don’t log on or contribute… I get a kick out of how all my stuff ends up there anyway, some by design of course… I bet they love that everyone has to come here or AW to see my vids and such… Oh well there loss… Like I said wait until we actually make some real parts not just paddles…

Wow, PT I am sorry to read that you had to go through so much abuse but their loss is our gain, no doubt. At some point, one has to be aware that a popular enthusiasts’ site will eventually become a business enterprise and the $$$ becomes the bottom line, not the enthusiasts who made the site popular.

Another instance of this was when performance peddler started selling 2.5" Magnaflows for $600. One of the A6 users alerted other platforms to this. Admittedly PP were offering discounts to customers who quoted the discount code on forums. But still it was a great deal. Actually I PM’d one of the mods on EA to see if I could post this on EA. I was ignored.

Damn primetime. Doesn’t surprise me at all what happened to you. It’s a shame that they have no discrepancy for who they will throw under the bus. It’s always the leading members that get beat down by the mods becaud they don’t want you to have ANY power. The advertisers must remain in control. Look at the members AZ has essiantally lost due to mods: sakimano, primetime, me, and pretty much the entire Wolfpack. None of the top posters and educated guys ever post or are silenced in some way

The big issue is self empowered mods with their heads up their ass. SoCalS4Avant gave me an infraction for picking on ECS. You have to be completely neutral with your opinions on brands. It’s annoying as fuck for a vocal guy like me who likes to beat down the scammers and idiots. Look how their are covering up all that STaSIS shit. It’s because so many vendors on there sell STaSIS. It’s a fucking car forum. Why must we be a bunch of productive little puppets.

I WILL NEVER post in the S4 forum on AZ until SoCalQueerAvant is muzzled. He doesn’t even have an S4 anymore.

well, it’s a business, so I understand. Why should ABC tuning pay $289 a month for the right to advertise when other companies just pop up and sell shit. Part of what they pay that money for is the exclusive right to advertise to the users.

My thoughts are that people shouldn’t go there for information…because it’s all muted/neutered/censored. The problem isn’t the forum admin as much as it is people still going there. If people vote with their feet (leave and go elsewhere) they will be able to make a change. Otherwise they’ll just keep in the dark. I thought that’s what EA was going to be, but we all know how that turned out when the two underfunded site owners basically had to sell their souls to stay afloat. Fortunately the owner of this site isn’t…well lets just say they aren’t going to be impacted by the server bill lol.

I just want to say I think AZ REALLY gets annoying sometimes!! It could of been a great site if it weren’t for all the advertisers and all the bashing of things people obviously know nothing about. I wish I knew more so that I could say something. But all I can keep up with is researching whats right for my car, and helping others as much as I can. So this is a shout out for some more people to go on AZ to the JHM thread and shut the asses up that are bashing JHM. I wish I knew what to say but I would just get into a useless arguement which I have no interest in doing. Beemercer and Miestah are over there standing up which is great but it just seems like either A- people are too ignorant to listen or change their point of view. OR B- They don’t even care about the facts and their only goal is to throw rocks and stir shit up.
