Hi all, I have an 04 S4 and had a auto door lock issue, according to the manual it has an exterior manual key in the Drivers door near the handle, my car does not have this nor any other exterior manual key except the Trunk, so when my Fob fails there is no emergency access to my car. Does anyone else have the same setup? Is there another way to access the Car in an emergency.
Thanks
Maybe Someone has covered it up for some reason.
Do you have a photo?
Weird…you could always put a brick in your trunk.
Mine B6 has one. There’s not a little cover that pops off or anything? Seems weird it wouldn’t have one.
some guys ‘shave’ everything on their cars . It’s a ricer or stancetard thing usually.
Anyway some guys did this to the key holes on the Audis. There was a thread on audizine about it years ago. They get little plugs or a penny and body colour paint match them and insert them to cover up the hole. So gay.
edit: found, Some guys also use a rear door handle instead of the front.

Thanks for the replies, it is not a modded car at all, not shaved or lowered, all original, except for the mufflers. I guess it is possible that the handle was swapped for one without a lock mechanism? I will talk to the local Dealer and see what they have to say.
West see if got can take a picture of the driver handle. The key hole is only on the driver side.
Whatever came of this.
Crickets.
Thanks for the responses and sorry about the late reply, I’m working out of the Country and haven’t checked back in a while. In all pics I’ve seen the cars have an exterior door lock except mine, it looks like the right side handle only on the left? I can only assume that the previous owner changed it for some reason, and I may buy one from a wrecker at some point, the Fob works fine, but if it fails then I am locked out and have to break in.
I have a keyhole next to the trunk handle, I’m assuming you do too. You have to insert the key vertically but you can use that in a pinch.
Just saw you already know about that keyhole. Sorry.
