Too lazy to type it out again, just incase anybody here didn’t see this.
Copy paste!
font too small. Bigger please.
Damn, my uber laziness at work made me too lazy to copy/paste it
am I the only one that thinks he’s asking too much? Wasn’t there a used FI catback that was just for sale, might of had more miles but the guy was asking 450… if they are 1000 new why would someone pay 850 for one used, only asking cuz I’ll be in the market for a set in the near future and I’ve been trying to figure out what they go for.
That one was $450 plus your stock catback exhaust. IIRC stock exhausts are worth $200. And the other guy needed to sell more urgently because he was trading the car in and needed to get a stock exhaust on it quickly. Either way, $850’s not bad.
That guy asked to little
I sold mine twice for 850 (sold it then got a local buyer so canceled on the first guy like the prick that I am)
Yeah I’d say $800-850 is about the right price for a used unit, but there will be deals out there from time to time.
A local guy had a res Fi catback for sale on craigslist for $500. I should have taken off work and gone down there and gotten it immediately. Throughout the day while I was at work he started getting dozens of offers from his ad on ebay. First he went up to $550, then later he told me he got an offer of $700. We settled on $650 and I picked it at his house. The thing was brand new (only used for 30 miles) so I was happy with the $650 although I wish I had gotten off work and jumped on it when it was still $500
I didn’t see that ad, but was the guy selling it paying shipping if it wasn’t a local deal?
Factor in shipping (which isn’t necessarily cheap) plus stock catback (if you have to ship this and pay for the FI catback to be shipped you are likely ending up around $800-$900 range overall.)
$450 for FI catback - $200 for stock exhaust - puts you @ $650 before shipping.
I’ve never used greyhound, but if I end up shipping this I fully intend to, since it cost me $160 to ship my catless downpipes with UPS
So if you break the price down by exhaust and shipping, it is probably closer to the $700-$750 for the exhaust itself. If not less
Why would you ever pay shipping as the seller???
Buyer pays shipping…always
Exactly. I’m just stating them I really don’t think $850 is an insane asking price with the shipping included.
If it was a pick up deal, I definitely wouldn’t be expecting $850
Why not?
1300 new and it’s not like you can find a deal on these…and it’s not like they have a shelf life or wear out
Hold firm at 800+ shipping
No I’d say $800-850 shipped is reasonable. Shipping via Greyhound is cheap (and fast usually).
And Saki the price for a B6 FI catback has dropped to $1050. That a great price for a brand new unit so when buying a used one you would hope to get a little bit of a deal. But factor in that getting a used one you can have it right away vs. having to wait however many weeks for FI to make it for you then ship it.
