b7 rs4 idle

hey quick question. when the car is hot (210) oil temps in stop and go traffic, when idling for about 1-2 mins the car idle stumbles a little about 100-200 rpm and goes back to normal. when this happens blue smoke comes out of the tailpipe when it stumbles and goes away when back at normal idle(800 rpm).

and sometimes when taking off in first gear slowly to 3k it’ll stumble and spit out some blue smoke as well. kinda feels like a slight misfire but not a full misfire.

thats the best way i can explain it.

Do u have any tune? Check engine light on?carbon clean done? Usually smoke are related w carbon clean, scored walls(hope not),running rich can cause that too, so many variables!

That’s what you see with a clogged PCV or oil separator. Check those out.

JHM 93 tune
1700 miles ago since my oil change/carbon clean
3 years since my oil separator has been replaced.
Compression is all the same as it was 80k miles ago when I last did it.
No codes/cel’s
Car runs great. Not running rich. Pulls like a freight train.
All cylinders were 99.99% closed when doing the carbon clean, soaked them for 5 hours with no level change before walnut blasting the valves.

When you say pcv, that mean the oil separator?

I know my oil was a few centimeters above max because the oil light is broken and when it comes on, and I add a quart it takes 2 key cycles to reset itself. It doesn’t reset like it used to. And I got lazy of checking the oil lol so I’ve just added a quart every time the light comes on for the last 100k miles. So bad but I’ve read up that over flowing the oil can cause blue smoke…

Dang it sorry for missing this. Yes check both the over filling of oil will effect both of them
