B8 s4 dsg 2-3 seems slow

Hey guys, new here. My 2012 s4 seems to shift a bit odd on the 2-3 shift. Almost like the clutch isn’t grabbing hard enough so there’s a fraction of a second of slippage on the engagement of 3rd. I’m apr tuned v3 with intake and pulley.

Is this typical behavior? I’m wondering if a dsg tune would fix the issue.

Welcome to the forum! Can you take and post a gopro of it… Could be a few things, I assume it happened after the tune and not before? Does it look like the 1-2 or 2-3 below or neither? lol

Or the 3-4, 4-5 here?

Wow that’s a good time to get out of it. If your clutch is slipping like that
A) run is fucked anyway
B) it can’t be good to push through it

Yeah, I wanted to run them out to show APR what was going on so they could make adjustments to the dsg tune… These were done while I was testing it… I have a ton more similar and such that are private, I’ll make them public later when I get some time if anyone wants to see…

It doesn’t “look” like that. It’s more of a feel. I’ll see if I can get a cell phone video and post it. It feels like when driving a manual, and shifting, but not having the revs matched perfectly.

Seems to be more prominent in manual mode

You can hear something like a hesitation on the third shift.

That’s the typical 2-3 shift for a few S4s I’ve driven. Never tried a tuned DSG yet.

Sounds normal to me.

Could be the Whitney hesitation.

I was going to say, probably easier to judge the sound if the radio wasn’t blaring.
